And that Kenny Omega is non-selling garbage, and that the Young Bucks are basically The Rockers without any future.

They have zero mic skills.

Disagree with all of that. Omega oversells a lot of shit unnecessarily. Cornette even gets on him for it.

Are the Bucks the greatest on the mic? No, but they’re good enough.

Who is Gallant's Tanner Glass? Who is his JMFJ?

Which move in the offseason will confound us all?

I'm going with an out of left field prediction: Will Cullye becomes Gallant's go to guy. Maybe not this upcoming season, but he'll be the Brian Boyle of the Gallant Era.

Is it weird the team hasn’t officially said anything about this yet?

No.

Same thing happened when Zac Jones signed. It was announced by everyone on Twitter and everywhere else days before it became official. There are probably details that need to be ironed out and a contract that needs to be formally signed before this can happen.

I feel like when NHL.com reports it, which they did, it's pretty much official.

They're definitely part of the equation. However, at the end of the day, the playbook still starts and ends with the coach. After all when a coach is disliked and the team is performing badly it certainly is.

I return to the belief that he is at a crossroads in his career. As other people have mentioned, he comes in with at least somewhat of a reputation that sees him trying to stare down Buck Showalter comparisons.

That's why I think it is a good opportunity for him. If changes some of the narrative here, he's writing his own ticket.

Hey, remember when you said that “Uncle Larry” could at least give you an @?

To venture into the land of football, I’ll quote Cris Carter...

“C’MON MAN!”

I'm expecting to see Mike Kelly join him on his staff since he's been with him forever. With Gallant in the fold, I honestly would try to avoid large-scale roster changes outside of some minor tweaks here and there. I really think this team can be successful under him and the style he gets his teams to play.
I still want a good face off guy at center in the lineup. We are really bad there.

I think it's an interesting crossroads for him.

If he follows the same trend here, it's gonna be really hard for him to shake the perception that he's a speed boost type, but not necessarily the guy you bring in for a serious run.

If he takes it to the next level, he's gonna be writing his own ticket for the rest of his career.
Sure... but AV was in a similar position when he joined the Rangers, nearly took them all the way, and now is seen as the furthest thing from Trotz.

I don't think Gallant is going to be seen the same way, and I'm very happy with this hire. But it's just hard to know what the public perception of someone is going to be a few years from now.

Yeah I’d like to see a versatile bottom 6 guy who’s hard to play against and a similar d man for the third pairing. See if them and gallant together can get the team to play harder as a group then take it from there

probably cannot afford UFAs like Hyman, Danault, less trendy guys maybe like Goodrow or Paquette
at D they could look at UFAs like Merrill or Forbert or aim higher in trade
dont want long deals for role players ...
