I love Cornette. I may not agree with him all the time, but he's one of the most entertaining personalities.

He’s entertaining and his stories are always good, but I won’t even bother with his views on today’s wrestling. He’s stuck in the mindset of 1985-88 JCP, territorial wrestling and absolutely refuses to move on from it.

I get why he is and I love that era as well, but there’s some great wrestling out there.

There is, yeah, but I agree that Marko Stunt has absolutely no business being in the ring and Orange Cassidy's schtick is stupid.

His schtick was interesting for like 10 seconds. Cornette is probably the most eloquent guy in pro wrestling, next to Mick Foley.

I agree on Stunt, other than being a manger.

Orange Cassidy’s shtick is original, which boomers like Cornette cry for and rightfully so. Original characters with character development. Undertaker has even publicly stated that wrestling lacks characters that can connect with fan. Cassidy has done so and that’s why he’s over.

It works, whether anyone likes it or not.

Hes not wrong with the argume t about today's wrestling being more spot-fests than actual storytelling in the ring.

At some point, we have seen them all and they do get, by and large, boring and worse, dangerous as they try to top the biggest "spot".

I just watched a clip where Fenix almost broke his own neck.

Thats not good wrestling. Thats dangerous, careless and useless.

The way I see it is that the WWE is an absolute dumpster fire - garbage and boring and will only capture your attention for 10 seconds.

AEW is like a 30 car pile-up - a disaster, but you can't look away

I think all of those things happen no matter who the coach is.

I think we certainly hope for the former, but wouldn't consider it a given under any/every coach.

I also think we don't necessarily hope for the latter, but wouldn't consider it a given under any/every coach.

Chytil had 22 in 42 despite playing piss-ant minutes and they were overwhelmingly even strength and primary. Like, that's amazing.

And then he can't receive a pass or runs into Lafreniere and you're just like "how is he great at even strength?"

I mean, if he keeps doing that at even strength, I don't care. :dunno:
Yeah Chytil is a weird one. The scoring rates are great and stuff but you're right in that you watch him run into a teammate or fumble a pass or stickhandle himself into a giveaway when a wide open teammate is right there and you wonder what the heck is going on with him. Then other times he looks like a Kopitar-lite.

Kakko has a few things to work on in the offensive zone. First, he hesitates before he shoots. Second, he goes for the extra stick handle as well before shooting. But third, he seems to forget how big he is. As he matures he will realize he can bull his way to the net. Great at digging pucks from corners, but once he has the puck he quickly passes to the point or he stick handles himself into knots. Just want him to drive towards the net and as he attracts defenders, then pass. Once he starts getting more aggressive and confident, he's going to be too much to handle. He's just too big and strong.

All true, but I think it's pointed at the confidence issue more than anything.

Played a little too passive because he was more worried about making a mistake and Quinn benching him, than trying to make a play.

Probably got a no movement clause. :sarcasm:
Maybe he gets a nice fat bonus if he gets us a Cup by year 3 ! Say...like 5 Million .:wg:
Not winning a Little League WS might have had something to do with it.
Gallant was also a very accomplished softball player in his junior years . He might have actually earned a Bronze at the Canadian Championships as a Junior .
