Maybe now we can finally trade some of these damn kids and focus on completing our rebuild around 30 year olds.

In truth our first 15 years were mostly good.I'm so shocked they went this lazy route
The NYR... cultivating mediocrity since 1926

Its from 11 years ago.
Think about how much has changed.
I don't know how you came to that conclusion. No point in even watching this team anymore.
MORE PANARIN APPEASING!

tbh I'm borderline right now.
I think it's an improvement on Gallant. If we play like a team from the year 2023, I guess that's a win?
I was really hoping for something fresh.....
I think Gallant brought them as far as they could go. All reliant on PP and Shesty.I’m fine with Laviolette, it’s the safer hire i guess, wanted someone fresh, but here we are.
Maybe he can get through to the vets. Think he has a 2-3 year shelf life. If the Rangers don’t win in that window, I think coaching, personnel, and potentially the GM could all change.
Maybe Gallant felt he just couldn’t coach this team anymore. I don’t think he was actually fired.
Gm’s typically get 2 coaches. This is drury’s second.I’m fine with Laviolette, it’s the safer hire i guess, wanted someone fresh, but here we are.

Why because somebody had it early? Same people changed their minds all through the process. I certainly don’t think drury is a ninja lol but to suggest he was just sitting around waiting doing nothing is nonsense to me. Maybe he was waiting on Sullivan because he liked him better or someone we don’t know he was waiting on. Or deliberating, what was the rush?So the Hynes stuff was absolutely just them making Laviolette more palatable right? Where the choices are eating garbage or bland toast, the toast is very appealing
Also can we finally put to rest the whole “nobody knows what Drury is doing thing, he runs a tight ship”. The entire hockey world knew for a month and a half what was happening and the team landed on the guy literally everyone said was the front runner.
Nonsense to think Drury is some ninja working in silence
Sums it up quite well I’m afraidProbably the best hire of the names we really heard they were actually considering. Stupid that they made "coaching experience," more of a priority than "having a clue how to develop youth and offensive ability."
Silver lining: This probably means the end of the horrific Drury administration sooner rather than later.
Wow, he paid not quite through the nose at a couple of trade deadlines. People act like he's front office God. The rebuild has been almost completely derailed. Way to go, ya bum. We should be entering a decade of dominance; instead, we are like 2 seasons away from another retool.
And the worst part is we get to watch the Devils as they do what we should have done. Acquire young talent in spades. They have more than us and it's sad.
