I have a feeling it was some stupid blogger, who was trying to generate clicks, because the position hasn't been filled yet, and Roy just finished, so someone made a really bad assumption.
Then the rangers beat came out and said nope.
My guess on this whole thing is its gonna be knoblauch, with maybe hynes as his defensive coach.

Just looking through Roy's career as a coach. He had a great first NHL season. Followed by two bad seasons.
But he has so much experience in the QMJHL. As an owner, GM, and coach. Two Memorial Cup Championships as coach coach/GM.
Would have to think he grew as a coach since Colorado.
It's an intriguing option. The track record of winning is there. Obviously in the Q he's got to manage and develop young players. He had young players in Colorado.
Would Roy be good for Lafreniere? I think he would be. I think he'd be good for Kakko and Othmann.

I mean doesn't really matter that much? No one we draft now is playing for them this year, unless something happens with a trade.

I understand that but imagine the Rangers select players that does not fit with the coaching style. Some prospects do attend prospect camp training camp. Rangers coaching staff does get involved with that. I would think that matters a little. Imagine if they drafted another Kravtsov with a coach that demands work ethic etc that fit would not really work. Imagine getting a defensive coach and draft a goal scorer that is a liability and another Panarin, yea that would work so well.

Those two sentences are the exact same thing. Is it a direct quote?no, but it is the exact same thing.
The fact that there's even a question about Q's role, what he did or didn't know, gives me a lot of pause. I'd really just rather stay away from that.

Yes words matter especially when you use quotes and say literally. If they didn't matter why change them so dramatically? He never mentioned not going to cops. I wish the player himself went to the cops.

I’m actually really surprised Laviolette isn’t the coach already. Seemed like a no brainer.

Maybe Drury is waiting until the Cup is over so he can interview Howden for HC
Im shocked which means maybe he is talking to other coaches not mentioned yet but the media. Has he even interviewed Leach? It’s all speculation. NYPost says he wont interview Roy. Who knows if that is just BS to keep things quiet or who knows what is going on in Drury’s mind?
