Sometimes when a coach hits the market, his connections will give him interviews to keep his name circulating and--in theory--drum up a market for him. It happens all the time in football. You interview a guy not because you want to hire him necessarily, but because you are just doing him a favor.
That may be it with Hynes. Maybe not, but maybe.
To add to this, every player in the history of soccer is going to Liverpool if you read the tabloids. And Real Madrid, Barcelona, Man U, and all the heavy hitters.Sometimes when a coach hits the market, his connections will give him interviews to keep his name circulating and--in theory--drum up a market for him. Again, if Roy is on the list to be interviewed, no decision will be made until his team is done with their season.
If there's one thing we know about Chris Drury is he doesn't often make decisions quickly. He likes to be thorough or ruminate even if the choice is obvious. It's often why some of his moves end up feeling anticlimactic because not only has he spent time figuring it out but the fanbase has been waiting on the thing that seems like a foregone conclusion for weeks.I don't know that he is or that there is interest on either side but other people (including Brooks) have brought up the fact that if the Rangers really wanted Lavi, there is no reason for them to wait.
He's been available.
Yes, it’s more entertaining, is that the point of sports anywayI'm all aboard the Roy train. Lets get someone crazy in here.
This. People get triggered by every name that is thrown out there. I'm available also and I think I can get Panarin to play a more north south game with less turnovers. Anybody have Drury's number? To add to this, every player in the history of soccer is going to Liverpool if you read the tabloids. And Real Madrid, Barcelona, Man U, and all the heavy hitters.
Everyone is also going to the Yankees, and the Mets too now that Cohen is splashing cash.
If a guy is a available, he's going to be linked to big teams because people read about big teams.
What I've read about Hynes' "connection" with the Rangers so far, indicates nothing other than he's available and the Rangers exist.
I actually haven't found anybody saying the Rangers have actually interviewed with him. Just that he's available. Technically, I'm available.
