Tbh I’ve warmed up to it.Turning on the new coach in mass before the hire is even announced...LOL new low for NYRHF(and I am part of the problem)
Too shortI will bite. Why is John Hynes a bad choice?
At least it won't be boringThat’s the atom bomb waiting to go off at MSG
Keeping Gallant I felt this way. First round exit as a wild card matching up against Jersey again or Toronto.Drury and Laviolette gone after this season.
At best, wildcard with a first round exit. Please prove me wrong.
He’s not even the coach yet and people are losing their shit lol. How about maybe waiting until this is confirmed before we burn the city down?
Don't you put that evil on usKeeping Gallant I felt this way. First round exit as a wild card matching up against Jersey again or Toronto.
Depending on who is hired, anything can happen. They can finish anywhere from 2nd in the Metro to missing completely. This team is an Igor or Fox season ending injury in November away from being in the lottery again.

My issue with him is he's tired. He was coaching the Yashin/Peca Islanders a lifetime ago.On paper, Laviolette is not awful.
5+ seasons with three different clubs
3 Stanley Cup Finals
1 Stanley Cup Championship
That’s as good a resume of any candidate who hasn’t abused players or covered up sexual assault.

Divorce? f*** that. I want an annulment. They have skipped the honeymoon and gone right to Divorce court. Lol.
I will be crying in tears of laughter , if this falls through and we hire someone else. Will also delete Ed’s account.![]()
I'd have preferred Sullivan but no guarantees that's an option.
Laviolette's not the worst option out there. Given how poorly our board has reacted, it might even be a good thing. This board has abysmal record of getting things right, Gallant being the most recent example. They wanted Gallant. They turned on him in less than 2 years.
Yeah, I remember seeing this before he was hired and it triggering me. It's sat in the back of my mind the entire time, even with Ovi defying all odds.
What'll be very interesting to me is how he handles a huge market like New York. I mean, it's not as vicious as other sports but I feel that's a different beast compared to even Philly, let alone Carolina, Nashville, or Washington.
What year was that?He cut his teeth in the league with the Islanders. I get that is New York light but still New York.
The majority of the posters on here have no clue- like are shockingly bad. The ones who turned on Gallant without any better viable options available are leading the charge.
Laviolete is a fine option but I’m pretty sure it’s going to make almost no difference. The roster is still slow, the Laf, Kappo duo are still underperforming, they have very little toughness…
