Rangers have lost 15 out of their last 19 games. What would you do if you were Dolan (the owner of the team) or Drury (the GM)?

They shouldn’t have extended Shesterkin . All it will do is get them crappier draft picks and not allow them to finish low enough to draft a game changing player / get a top 5 pick . He is good enough to carry the team to mediocrity instead of bottoming out. I know from experience with C. Schneider being elite . Should have went full tank mode but instead Schneider prevented that from happening .
Price did fir the Habs exactly what you are saying Shesterkin will do for the Rags.
Habs with a lottery roster for years. Price propped them up to bubble team for far too many seasons.

The rangers have given up on the season. It's the only reasonable explanation for the malpractice from the GM.

I can't tell, as Florida is a bipolar team in terms of effort at times, but to me it seemed like the Rangers players overall were still playing well. Bad start, but they didn't give up and tied up the game a few times. Just faced playoff Bob in December

Especially to end the game they controlled the puck, just had the Florida Boqvist bros get one past Igor.

Now what the front office is doing is another story.

Can Seattle fans please chime in on how Kakko is being used, and how he's looked?

The Mets, Yankees, Knicks, and Devils are all championship caliber teams.
But none of those teams have won anything since the 2000’s. A city with as many major sporting teams should have a hell of a lot more hardware in the modern era than NYC has.

They claim what? Almost double digit teams and the last time any of them won anything was the Giants in 2011 (if I’m not mistaken). LA and Chicago have blown by them in championships in recent memory.

All of what you said is true, but the post I was responding to was about current state of NY sports.

Funny watching New York Fans claim the Devils as a part of their city’s success now😂
I’ve never come across a New Yorker that claims the Devils. Everyone I’ve met actively does the opposite. New Yorkers find them about as disgusting as the guy in your profile pic and the guy whose hat he’s wearing.

It’s rather enjoying watching NYC sports crash and burn. You’d think one of them would get it right.

The Knicks have it right

No New Yorkers claim the Devils. Hell, no New Yorkers claim the Islanders or the Nets.

There are actually quite a bit of Devils fans in the city as well as Staten Island. Our board has some posters from Brooklyn too. I know several season ticket holders from over the years from all 3. The city is an easy path or NJ transit ride over and Staten Island is actually easier to get to Newark by car than MSG and even closer than a lot of NJ, plus most of them hate the city too lol

Drury tore this organization apart in the blink of an eye.

No trust between players and management, calling each other out in the media and the coach is stuck between a rock and a hard place.

To top it off, the Rangers’ cap situation is terrible, and they don’t have much coming up in the system making it very hard to maneuver.

As a fan of an opposing team, I’m glad Dolan hasn’t shown any indication of wanting to let Drury go.

Speaking as a Devil's fan living in Brooklyn who is friends with a lot of Rangers fans, this is a lot of fun to watch.

It’s crazy, yet you’ll find Rangers fans simping for Drury still. “It’s a business, the players are being babies, etc.”

This is what happens when you pretend real life is “Be a GM Mode” in NHL 24

well, at least in eastside hockey manager, you can choose "wheeler and deeler" as a GM archetype and it does lower player morale, so seems like manager games are not quite so clueless.

Drury may well go down as the worst GM of this era when it’s all said and done. It’s certainly trending that way. He’s got an entire team to hate management with a passion and turned a contender into a lottery team. The icing on the cake (so far) is that 11.5m deal he just signed for a goalie.

Huh. Who would have thought that young players could do better with increased time and more opportunities?
Zero old coaches. Mandatory to ruin prospects development lol

I remember Trotz scratching Nate Schmidt over nothing while he played way better than our 6-7th dman

They let him go to Vegas where he became a top pair.

I mean if they’re playing bad because they’re upset, the absolutes are babies and deserve criticism
