Everything went right for Czechia yesterday. Got an early lead. Totally fluke goal off Dickinson's glove. Canadians were sleep-walking for most of the first 2 periods. Hrabel was superb. George wasn't at his best. Gibson foolishly makes exactly the same hit that was called a major in the 1st. Great victory nonetheless.

USA has more individual talent than Canada though, and when on their game they seem to sling the puck around the offensive zone at will. Don't think the Czechs will be able to contain them for 3 periods.

Otoh the Americans are prone to defensive zone errors that can be exploited, and, as we have seen, Czechia is an opportunistic team.

I guess I'll just have to watch the game.

I think Czechia matches up better against Sweden and Finland.

But if you beat the US, I think you have a decent chance at Gold.

Sweden = Czechia
Finland < Czechia

Is how I would look at it as far as the odds.

I think Sweden might dominate the shots against the Czechs but Czechs can beat them similarly to how they beat Canada.

I think the US is much better than Czechia and I’d be surprised if they lose.

I would prefer if Czechia won because I often root for underdogs in these situations.

Whether or not Czechia wins or loses makes no difference as to whether Canada sucked or not.

They sucked, obviously. They lost more games than they won at this tournament, at home.

Sikora is one guy.

I suspect the majority of Canadians would still rather see the US lose.

If Thelin starts, Finland has a very good chance. Finland seemed mentally stronger and more consistent throughout each game. It's pretty much a coinflip. Gut says Finland.

I only saw 2 Czechia games, but they're definitely capable of pulling off an upset. US likely wins though.

US’s best players are coming alive at the right time. BC line & Buium took a bit to get going but have been really solid lately. Augustine a proven big-game player.

I think any of the 4 teams left can easily win this, but I think this US team is better than many are giving them credit for. They play hard and have low egos
