habs played 7 games this years and never had more power play opportunities than the other team in those games. In fact, the Rangers and the Habs has the least power play opportunities(the Wild only played 5 games) this years.

Typical Montreal :sarcasm:

go habs go :yo:

In terms of PP minus PK time we're the worst team in the league at home :

http://www.nhl.com/ice/teamstats.ht...homePPMinusPKSeconds&viewName=penaltyKillTime

We're 27th if you consider total PP minus PK time :

Pretty shocking considering our record. You'd think that this would happen for a bad team, not a good team.

Hummmmmmm...

Three pages into this and no good words for the thread-starter?

This thread is a hymn for the common poster, it defies the convention that you need to be outrageously innovative with code and linux jokes, or spelling names backwards or even, display mind-blowing shooping.

It embodies the concept that anyone can start a GDT thread -- and that's not belittling anyone, but rather it elevates the spirit of those who feel intimidated by feats of artistic imaging -- it brings the power back to the people. It should be celebrated rather than ignored. Hopefully, it also ushers in a favorable outcome in tonight's game. :sarcasm:

Its funny b/c people who whine about the refs dont really watch MTL games. When ever a French Canadian refs the habs we get destroyed by them lol. Also if you look at the last couple of years we've had the least amount of PPs and probably most called back goals.

forget the rivalry, Habs are showing lots of character this year with come from behind victories but have still only played a full 60 minutes maybe twice. Which is a good thing, because we can still get better and build on our start. For the first time in I can't remember how long, no coaching controversy, and no constant chatter about lines and who should be playing and who shouldn't, I think it must be helping the team to focus on the ice.
Things I would love to see improve in their game, team defense, PP, PK.
The 5 on 5 is solid so far and Price will only improve with time as the season progresses. Need a big two points.

On the main board, I did a whole breakdown of Montreal's penalty woes over the past three seasons. Overall, 3rd-period only -- we remain one of the most penalized teams in the league. However the conspiracy nuts shake and bake it, we've received no favours from the refs. None at all.

If the rags end up with more PPs than we do, I want each and everyone in this board who owns a twitter account to tweet that account the stat.

Nash gets 4.

It's not the playoffs, so you gotta watch out for Nash.
