Let's settle down with the Prince Cam talk. Remember Prince Chad?

Anyhow, I already have his gimmick worked out. Talbot will be the "Gate Keeper." At MSG, when he makes a big save, they'll cut to a Ghostbuster clip. "I ain't fraid of no ghost!"

+ Talbot had a strong first game. Had a little luck with the posts, and looked uncomfortable at points, but made saves when it counted.
+ Solid penalty kill.
+ Richards continues to score.

- Richards is the only one who scores.
- They gave it their all and couldn't beat a 1-7 team.
- Was not a fan of the Pouliot hit.

Shake up trades needed...badly.

Terrible all around. AV and his flunkies look lost.

Still better than Stepan imo. Sure, he was at fault for the first goal, but with Brassard at least something usually happens in the offensive zone. While Stepan currently just does absolutely nothing.

What exactly has Brassard done? He's no better or worse than Stepan. Constantly flubbing passes.

Give brassard some wingers that aren't complete dog **** and he will create goals. He was one of the few to show up in the last postseason so ****.

We've nothing but shake-up trades the last two years. Player and coaching changes aren't working.

Like SBOB said: the fish rots from the head down.

I finally figured out what we're missing -

SKILL!
SPEED!
DESIRE!

Other than that-all good.

Not even mad just feel it would be best if we just looked foward to "The future" (Tank)

Question: who is up to the task of creating a rival to the Sabres firesale video?

I just noticed him much more in the offensive zone. Maybe his linemates were better today, but Stepan literally did nothing.

But in the end, who do you bench him for anyway? MZA? All of our forwards (save for Richards) suck pretty bad right now.

Really liked that interview from Staal.

No "this or that needs to be better". just straight up "we need to be better, win some games, and start putting up points"

We got J. Moore and Brassard was pretty good last year for us. Right now pretty much everybody looks awful on our team.

Last year was more of an anomaly for Brassard than anything else, not the rule. He's always been wildly inconsistent.

At the end of the day we traded Gaborik, a 40-goal scorer who is averaging a point per game this season, for Brassard (3rd liner w/ 2nd line potential), Dorsett (3rd/4th liner who is undisciplined), and Moore (the only bright part of the trade, the kid has an upside). We didn't add depth with that trade. Instead, we lost top end talent.

They FLEECED us in my opinion. Really regret that trade. If Nash got injured and we still had Richards/Gaborik in the line up, at least we'd still have a legitimate 1/2 punch. Richards and Stepan just doesn't cut it. Well, Stepan in particular. Richards has been great.

There are no easy games now. No lay ups. This whole season will be a struggle for points. Lundqvist being Lundqvist is the only reason they have a remote chance.

The Rangers are the 2nd worst team in the NHL right now.

Well they can't be the worst of the worst which about narrows them down.

Ugh.

We can't even ****ing tank properly.

No emotion isn't really something that sticks out after tonight. The overall effort didn't look bad. Effort/emotion is just something people like to throw around after a loss. We iced a really poor lineup on the road where our top two centers played miserably. Not a surprising result.

We wouldn't have been able to keep Gaborik, Nash and Richards. Of course Richards buyout would've been the obvious out, but even then it would've been very tight with the cap. We more or less had to trade Gaborik sooner or later.

There is no rocket science to this. It's not the coaching, system or even the effort. They just don't have anywhere close to the talent they need to win games. And it's offensively. That's it. Defense isn't to bad. Don't forget, a good offense is the best defense. Right now, None. Zero.
