Sýkora has stated he expects to be in Hartford, although he has pretty much 5 different options.

Originally I was against it as it felt like rushing him, and we’ve seen the results of that. I’d sit him down and have a very frank conversation, and if he honestly feels comfortable playing at that level, then I’d be open to it. Hopefully have him in the middle 6 in a couple years.

exactly where i land. typically i'm heavily in favor of letting european kids develop where they are until they're ready to come over and have a realistic or ideally probable chance at cracking the opening night roster. in his case though his game seems better suited to the north american ice plus his english is very good and he has an outgoing personality so he doesn't seem like the type who would feel isolated and disconnected in the locker room/off ice which is a huge factor. if he genuinely liked being in hartford as he stated, is comfortable there, and has a regular lineup spot he should be there. curious how his training camp goes, as his style is something the rangers could really use and he might find himself closer to an opportunity with the big club than anyone realizes at the moment.

Rangers--Fox, Trouba, Miller, Lindgren, Schneider, Gustafsson

Rangers/Hartford--Jones, Mackey, Harpur (one makes it the other two get waived or go down)

Hartford--Robertson, Emberson, Hollowell, Scanlin, Brouillard.
