Tapp has develop three All-American goaltenders in four seasons at Union. Last year, Colin Stevens earned All-American honors as the ECAC Hockey Ken Dryden Award winner. In 2011-12, Troy Grosenick entered the season with just one career start and became an All-American and Hobey Baker finalist. He later signed with the NHL's San Jose Sharks. In 2010-11, Tapp worked with All-American Keith Kinkaid.

Exactly this. And all of those players have been at Rangers Development Camp in the past I believe.

That's Slats. Every prospect tournament, every camp, he's got a kid or two in camp that's there because of some familial tie to Sather. It's not a bad thing, necessarily, but it's noticeable.

I think most of us are fine with it right now.

I'm fine with it right now. The concern is if we are fortunate enough to have Hank play through his current 7 year deal (and perhaps beyond) and one or both of these guys are ready to play in the NHL in 4 or 5 years. How many seasons can you expect them to ride the pine? 3? 4? I guess that's something to worry about down the road if at all.

Moore - Klein

Long-term this won't be our defense. Stralman is already gone, and Boyle is old. Klein will leave when his contract is up because he'll get a big pay raise. If you are right about Staal getting traded, then this would be our defense in a few years:

McDonagh - Girardi
Skjei - McIlrath
Moore - Allen

This is the most likely top-6, though there might be some kids like Graves and Bodie who make it instead.
