Also, Stepan was ****ing great today. His move on the first goal was so smart.

It feels like his hockey sense is increasing every single game. Such a pleasure to see him produce as he has over the past 15~ games.

Marty has always been good with exception of Hawks game last year . Shoot outs , not so much .

Also, honorable mention to Ovechkin for not laying out Stepan before his goal. That could have been a brutal hit.

I thought the PP looked good today, and the 4th line played well also. Good to get secondary scoring (Boyle) and good play by our 5-6 Dmen. Good effort all around today.

bickel was a healthy scratch. Haley was not as visible as the last game

Once we got the lead Haley's type of shenanigans against a team like the caps who rely on PP is a detriment . I like Haley and think he can take a regular shift . However , just like with Avery Torts will shelter his minutes because he knows refs are more likely to call penalties on guys like Haley/ Avery

Good win. Anyone got a video of the Cally/Nash goal? Also, would like to see Haley get a bit more time but as long as we're winning, who gives a ****.

idk how anybody can blame a backup for letting in that first goal. he's getting hit in the face with a stick when he's supposed to be making a save

mcd stepping up like he should with staal out. biron doing what a backup needs to do. stepan woke this team the **** up with a great individual effort. hags, cally, nash, stepan, miller continue to be the only rangers who show some poise with the puck, and don't throw it away the moment they get pressured.

I like that Gabby is shooting more, but he's gotta be stronger on the puck against the boards, none of this reaching out crap, you're a hockey player for god sakes.

Biron Nash Stepan

Stepan's goal is really being downplayed. Up until that point we didn't look so hot. Overall Stepan's play lately reminding me of the guy I compared him to, Mike Ridley. Being in Washington today even moreso ;)

McD was very good, Stralman had a good two way game.

Hopefully this is a kickstart for Boyle. That'd be nice huh?

Fully agreed...remember how a lot of posters were worried about Stepan regressing this year? The patience he showed on that goal was outstanding. It finally feels like we have two legit top six scoring lines. If Boyle gets his head out of his butt, then we have a solid checking line. And, I really like the Powe/Halpern combination. Halpern has been a superb pickup...a smart player, who still skates well, and is very agressive on the forecheck.

yeah, I think winning the conference is pretty unrealistic at this point(I could be wrong..you never know).

But 5/6th looks to be their spot this year...

You never know though, teams can go into a free fall(just hope it isn't us)...

4th would be so much better than 5th. Unlikely though.

It seems like every time Powe and Halpern are on the PK they manage a break out and kill some nice time along the o-zone boards

With all the love for Boyle, (I didn't watch the game btw, sleeping) was he actually that effective or are we all just giving him the thumbs up because of goal/GWG?
