Not gonna sit around and join in the trade Gaborik and Richards talks, but that game was good.

7th place with games in hand on every team ahead of us except for Boston. My goal is to cement ourselves AT LEAST at fifth in the upcoming games and slowly creep up.

yeah, I think winning the conference is pretty unrealistic at this point(I could be wrong..you never know).

But 5/6th looks to be their spot this year...

You never know though, teams can go into a free fall(just hope it isn't us)...

9 points behind Pitts with 2 games in hand.

It'll be tough but if the team plays like they have since Nash came back from injury it's possible.

Pretty easy decisions for me:
1. McD
2. Nash
3. Boron
Hm: Hags, Cally, and Boyle.

Great win. Love winning at Verizon Center. Did that goal really touch Cally? He out his leg up, but IDK if it touched him.

Pretty great team game. Biron was the #1 star for me, made some good saves and looked calm and poised today. Very solid game from him.

Only watched the last 17 minutes, but Marty looked great. Wish he could do that everytime he played. No derping around.

Boyle was much better. Play like that and he won't be scratched. Good win.

He certainly played better than Bickel that is for sure...

yeah, he made a lot of key saves in the first period to keep the score 1-0 when the rangers were losing until the rangers found their legs tied the game and took it over

Went with Biron, McDonagh, and Nash. Slow start but the last 50 minutes was wonderful.

Nice to see Richie get it going a little bit. He's been playing like poo but I still really like the guy.

Biron made a mistake early but more than made up for it.

McDonagh was excellent and there wasn't a D-man in the lineup that didn't have a good game.

Callahan was a beast.

Nash is Zeus.

Great effort

OK. Fair point, but I'm wondering who you classify as "character" guys. I like having Gaborik on the team because the guy can flat out score. Richards has been good for us, is now coming on and I'm still on a high from the game 5 goal he scored in the playoffs last year.

I think I remember hearing Haley's name once and I didn't hear Stu's at all. Missed the first 10 minutes.

Also I should say:

Torts finally had a brain wave today of keeping Richards/Del Z on different PP units(one to QB one unit). Hell he finally paired Stralman to Richards...

I still am really looking forward to Hamrlik getting some PP time when he is ready to go...

Strong team effort today. Biron played a great game. Washington could've been right back in it on the 5 on 3 but Biron shut the door.

Credit where it's due, Boyle played very well today. Hopefully he keeps it going rather than his usual regression after the first game back in the lineup.

Only concern I have is the slow legs to start. 3 games in a row we played a bad first 10 minutes. Islanders and Capitals games we came back and played a good last 50, but the Ottawa game not so much. I'll take the points for sure though, it was a great effort overall. On to Buffalo.
