I don't think the lines are working. Callahan hasn't been doing much offensively. He shouldn't play with world class talent. Richards needs to be moved to the wing again. Dom has been playing well enough that he can handle more minutes. Nash and Step can try again, Brass can try something else since he's been pretty underwhelming. Richards will do better without the C responsibilities.

No, we don't. Rangers can't beat good teams. Who was the last good team the Rangers beat?

Beat LA, Pittsburgh, Detroit, Nashville, Montreal this season. Try again.

Either way, too much complacency up and down the ranks. This collective group doesn't work well together for more than a game or two no matter how you cut it. They're solid enough to be a .500 team. Between the MDZ fiasco, Lundqvist's contract, and leaders only really deciding to do something 1 game out of 5, it's just not a good recipe.

You wont tell me anything, i'm surprised youre not crying about the refs like always. Gtfoh dude

I didnt say they suck, they did in this game though. Wake up and realize another goal scorer isnt gonna fix this team

Listen. Do we really need to go over what you posted again like last time when I had to quote you to show you what you actually wrote?

You wrote this:

"Dont be mad, we suck. Sucks"

You wrote that the team sucks. Don't sit there and try and lie about what your post was and change your story. I already called you out for trying to pull that before and I guess it didn't sink in that that kind of stuff doesn't go over well on this board. I know you're new, but you should realize that people here don't overlook things like they may elsewhere.

This was the 2nd time I have had to call you out for this. Let's not make it a 3rd.

Reading Snowblind's anti-Hank posts are thrilling. He's just a few thousand posts away from making "a softy every game!!" the new official slogan of NYR.

You're seeing something the league isn't, and I hope AV hires you to point out how useless our Lundqvist is. Talbot's 7 games > Hank's career.

Stop being another idiot that just complains about losses like a repetitive 7 year old venting about not being picked for a team by dismissing it.

Don't watch the "classic Rangers" if they "suck" and only ever "rinse" and "repeat".

You can come to grips with it.

"Just come to grips with it!"

You're a rationalizing baboon who can't take a loss in stride and ***** on the team when they lose to detach yourself from the loss because you can't handle it.

Classic bandwagoner. Come to grips with that.

I'm sure your high post count gets you all pumped up with self righteous chest thumping soap boxery!
I'm clearly a bandwagon baboon because I'm tired of an organizational mantra of abject failure through mediocrity, right? Problems that have plagued this team for decades never get addressed and create a culture of " good enough". Good enough for squeaking into the playoffs time and again to be dominated by better teams. Good enough to draft mid to late first round every year ensuring top talent goes elsewhere. Good enough to keep Sather employed, and grasping for overpriced has beens and never weres.
Well good enough isn't good enough.
Oh and why would a bandwagoner latch onto the bumper of This clown car?!

I've come to terms with the fact that we spot the other team a goal before a game starts when Lundqvist is starting. That's bad for an average goalie, much less "the best in the world". The guy is no longer anywhere near elite. I don't even care that the team has played like ass. Yeah they played like ass. Outside of Lundqvist they have 1 damn player MAYBE that's in the top 10 at his position in McDonagh. Even then, outside of the 1st goal and that Lucic breakaway, the only great chances Lundqvist faced all game went wide of hit the post. The D wasn't all that great, but the Bruins weren't all that great offensively either. We got let down by "the best goalie in the world" AGAIN. I really hope we trade the guy. The guy looks to be on the decline he will be a HORRIBLE contract if we extend him. Unfortunately he's the most marketable player on the Rangers and I don't see him going anywhere. Goaltending has been as good as it's ever been in the NHL, overpaying on what is an average goalie now is a sure fire way to doom your team. I'd love to trade him, get some assets, maybe a backup goalie and have Cam start. I doubt he'll be any worse.

Honestly, I don't think a team needs an "elite" goaltender to be decent. Seems like almost every goalie in the league now has the capability of 150 minute shutout streaks, even second and third-rate guys you wouldn't even think compare to Hank. Yet statistically, they do.

It might seriously be time to look at moving the guy for some form of offensive talent. I have no idea if Cam Talbot is ready to step in for the next eight years or not, but something has to change.

People here last year had Stepan as a legit #1center

People say all sorts of random stuff. But even if we were to anoint him as a #1C based on a shortened season when he was very quite to start and bad in the playoffs, the C depth was still a washed up BR, a madly inconsistent Brassard, Boyle and a year-off-from-the-game Moore.

The only proven C coming into the C was Richards, unless everything went right (which never happens) it was always going to be a weakness

It went off the side of his chest and past his arm. It's a goal most average goalies would save let alone a guy who is supposedly the best in the world.

But again. You put out all of these ifs as excuses for Hank. It was a **** goal. If you want to be objective, you'll agree. I'm objective since I said it's a team loss and everyone sucked. The other two goals on Hank were not his fault at all.

Problem with your theory is you gloss over the guy taking the shot, and even then, the other guy responsible in letting that guy be in the position to take said shot.

And I've been saying the same thing. Dumb offensive plays with 0 shots taken and making idiotic passes that only burn us in the end. It's hard for me to pin the L on one person when it's a collective effort..or none whatsoever.

19 shots through 3 periods. That's what we had with Torts and there is absolutely 0 reasons for this team to be playing like that with AV.

I'm still looking at the catalyst for this: Alain Vigneault

I have been less than pleased with the product from day one of this season. I have seen little to nothing from him that's impressive. He's the X factor, he was brought in to change things for the better.

They've gone from "eh" to "meh".

AV's Rangers are off to the worst start for a Rangers team in the better part of a decade. That can't be ignored.

I agree. His approach just sucks and I absolutely HATE his demeanor. No emotion whatsoever, just scratches people and doesn't do anything.

I still can't believe people gave me **** for wanting Lindy Ruff.

remember when lundqvist used to dominate the bruins?

When we had Dubinsky, Anisimov and all of those guys you mean?

don't worry about snowblind. He secretly loves Hank and has the highest of expectations for him. It's tough love. One day he'll admit this on his death bed.

Shut up dude. We did suck, didnt we? This 13-13 team has a sucky record. If the Devils were 13-13 you would say they suck right? This team needs alot of work.

Call me out? Who are you dude? Get a life

Why is everyone so worked up about this particular game?

Had the lead and literally gave up.

So many players just, didn't play.

Hank lets in a softie.

Pyatt was in the lineup.

What's not to ***** about ?

I will say this till we move on to the next retread:

AV was the laziest hire in the world. It was so quintessentially Sather.

What's killing me is the team is better than it was last year. Or, it should be.

Zucc from the start.
A better Richards.
A Kreider who's arrived.
Staal
Dom Moore is an effective 4th liner
Cally and Hags don't each have a single shoulder
A far superior back up

There is ZERO excuse for a team to be underperforming so terribly.

I believe that a lot of Hanks mortality this year has to do with this being yet another season where the team can't generate much offense. Obviously a goalies job is to stop shots/prevent t goals. His intent is to stop every shot. Of course that's unrealistic, so you hope to have a go who, with the help of his D, will stop most of them and make the big saves. And Hank is that guy. His record speaks for itself. But to expect him to give up a goal or fewer every night is beyond unrealistic. And the pressure to do so is enormous. I think it's starting to break him. This team needs smarter, more consistent players. Our leading scorer is projected to score less than twenty. It'd almost make for a funny movie.

Detroit and Nashville are awful, and I'm saying that as someone who likes those two teams.

Nashville was in the middle of a hot streak that the Rangers snapped. They won 5 games around the shutout vs. the Rangers. Detroit is always a huge threat and I'd gladly take their awful 12-7-7 record and 31 points over our mediocre 13-13 record with 26 points.
