Nash has not been avoiding all the contact over the last 3 or 4 games. He just is more willing to bump people and go for the puck.

I thought Marc Staal was the Rangers best skater today. Assist on the GWG and seemed to make good defensive play after good defensive play.

Nash had an alright game. However, he had a near breakaway that he blew 'cuz he was skating in mud. He's still not where he needs to be to be an elite player.

Another big thing about this win is that we are now tied with the Leafs for the final wild card spot in the conference, and only one point behind the Wings for the other. Gives us another way into the PO's assuming that Toronto continues their fantastic freefall ;)

Hank did SOME things well at home against Columbus, followed that up with a monster effort tonight

He HAS to get the start against Philly.

If you want Hank to be Hank, then you have to get him back in there after a good win so that he knows that the good things he did against Chicago are what he needs to continue doing.

He's the guy and he needs to be the guy until the Olympics.

Also Cally had a very good game. He seemed a little gassed near the end, but that's to be expected.

Hopefully he too can get back to form.

Yeah, he has been playing very well the last several games, has like 4 points in the last 3 games, had some great scoring chances from hard work on the boards and creating turnovers.

He played nearly 20 mins of ice time, not surprised he was a little gassed, but he did make the final defensive play to send them to a win.

Richards line has 4 goals in 3 games, coincidence of Cally being back, hell no, he assisted on 3 of those goals.

It was a huge relief to see a game like this from Staal. He really battled in front of the net and played great. Easily his best game post-eye injury. I hope he can comeback and consistently play like he did tonight.

I originally voted 1. Hank 2. Zucca 3. Dom Moore (unsung hero), but Staal deserves a star too. It's good to see him back in form.

Lady luck had a lot to do with this game. Rangers had a ton of chance as well did the hawks. however, the hawks clearly carried the play and the rangers could have lost this game very easily. If the rangers want to know how to play hard game in and game out, look long and hard at the Chicago black hawks. My god was their puck possession and passing brilliant. i dont think i've seen a team pull a goalie and control the play for as long as the hawks did tonight in my entire hockey viewing life.

Good win for confidence.....

however, it wasnt a quality win against a great team.......it was a squeak out win......and get the hell out of town kind of win.

Anybody see that puck bounce off Staal's visor? Looked like it would have hit him square in the right eye.

Improvement is what I am talking about with Nash. After the way he was each and every game (pretty much) before, I will take these little improvements and look at them positively with an eye on where it may lead.

I've been saying it for a while. Ever since the game against Tampa bay, Hank has looked closer and closer to his old self. He hasn't been losing the puck as much, hasn't been fighting it. His movements have been smooth and powerful and not as much wasted movement. He's definitely gaining his confidence back.

He's trending upwards for sure and if he can string together a few more strong outings I'd say we have Hank back.

6-3-1 in the last 10. Loved Callahan's game tonight, he always seems to step up for these NBC games. Impressive effort all around, hopefully they carry it into MSG Friday because it's the first game I'll get to be at this year!

Also totally agree with you, cigar.
