Hank and Staal stood out, but they all played well.
Bad penalty by Brassard but it happens.
Callahan has been playing well.

I didn't see the first period and a half but what struck me was as solid as he was solid he didn't have to be in God mode. Amazing against the Hawks.

Hank and Staal were our best players tonight. I thought they played very well as a team though and Boyle had some great shifts.

Great team win. Every line played well. Hank had his best game of the season. If he played like this all year we probably would be is better shape BUT teh good news is taht lately he seems back to normal

Go look at the Hawks GDT. They played a fairly decent game and if you go to their board it looks exactly like our board after a piss poor effort where two skaters showed up and we lost by 4 goals.

Vintage Hank. Staal, Girardi and McD all played fantastic. You know who else had a stand out good game?Brad Richards. Rick Nash also looked good. Callahan looked much improved.

Brassard sucked. Pouliot was blah. John Moore continues to be the worst defenseman on the team.


Btw Hank was so money. Huge game from him.

Fantastic 1st period. played well. scored 2 goals. hank had 15 saves.

craptastic 2nd. got dominated. hank had a questionable goal, but made some key saves.

started out the 3rd flying. the beginning was ridiculous. cant believe we didnt score. hawks pushed back and it became a balanced period. Hank was a ****ing beast.

Good: almost everyone. Carcillo looked solid out there, Cally's best game imo, Hank was amazing (aside from 1 play), Staal looked like his old self, Nash was skating hard, Zucc was all over, Kreider played well, McDonagh was awesome, Boyle was good, not a ton to complain about.

Bad: I didnt like Pouliot or Brassard in this game and im a fan of both of them

Redden/Bickel/whatever you call it: the ****ing commentators. oh my god they were horrible. kept saying hank gave up terrible goals while crawford only gave up 1 questionable goal, declared the hawks winners when they tied it, just incredibly biased. i dont know how these clowns are national tv commentators. is it just because Doc and Eddy ****ing hate the rangers or do the pick a favorite in every game?

1st: Hank (complete beast mode tonight)
2nd: McDonagh (shutdown the hawk, played noticeably physical)
3rd: Callahan (did everything we need our captain to do except score but he had an assist, set the tone and played great)

Kane was extremely quiet. Alot of credit to Staal and Boyle on that one.

McDonagh and Girardi kept the Sharp-Toews-Hossa trio relatively in check.

Hank took care of the rest.

Best win of all season. May prove to be the most important as well. Very few defensive mess ups. Hank was solid when we needed him the most. PP looked great. We are lucky Crawford did as poorly as he did. Keep it rolling.

Kane must have been frustrated, just the way I want him against the Rangers. He was handled pretty well.
