The shots were like 15-3 in the third period.

He looked like crap in the shootout, but this loss is not on him, at all. That was three weak clearing attempts in a row.

It's not all on him, but your best skater is out, as the other superstar on the team he needs to make that tying goal save. I don't care what the shots were, he was steady but the chances the Avs got were nothing special and that includes the game tying goal. I don't get the idea that a bad goal is acceptable because he made saves before.

Happy to get a point against a really good team while missing McD.

Wish it could have been two points, but realistically, the magic number is two now, and they have some easy competition on the horizon. I'm not sure the lost point will end up meaning much of anything at all.

Odd D-pairs. I would have thought we'd see Staal - Girardi again with McD gone.

Would have liked to see Staal-Girardi and Stralman-Klein in the third.

The 3rd was awful, but Lundqvist looked like **** on the game tying goal. Not a rare sight this year Lundqvist letting his team down.

What? Staal fans on the puck when he should be getting it out and totally blocks sight for Lundqvist on that one. Not a rare sight you blaming Lundqvist for everything this year.

Threw a point away but in reality that one point is likely not going to matter as being up 4 pts is almost the same as 5 on the flyers since we have the tiebreaker.

I really don't see how it was a bad goal, there was tons of traffic and it was just kind of an awkward mess. Barrie is skilled and was in a great position to shoot. He is the last player I blame on that goal.

Sometimes, there really is no need to place blame. A goal against is a goal against, and it came at a ****** time. Move on.

I'd legitimately recall JT Miller and scratch Richards. Can't score, can't win a faceoff, can't win a battle on the boards, slow, can't play defense. Just horrible.

Couldn't win a faceoff all night. Only won 9 and lost 7. That being said - Moore should be out for all critical faceoffs whenever possible (only exceptions really being icing/if he's in the box/if he happens to be coming off an extended shift)

I don't understand this. It was shot in the slot from a bad giveaway by Dan G trying to clear the zone. I don't know how any one can blame that goal on Hank.

File those under people who don't understand hockey, and or goaltending in general. Also, people who have never played hockey before, especially the goaltending position.

Tough loss. Won't matter in the grand scheme of things but it's a tough one to let slip.

Some adjustments I'd like to see them make:

-Stop sitting back on leads. The third period was ugly
-The power play has gone cold and it was brutal tonight

We'll be just fine, just need to fix some things.

2-1-1 road trip.....not bad. 2 to clinch. Have the advantage on Philadelphia for home ice for the 1st time in a long time. Tough loss but given the circumstances, this game could have been so much worse.

The amount of latitude Richards gets is disturbing. PP, Shootout, Key faceoffs, it's ****ing mind-boggling. He's put into these situations not only with no result, but often to the detriment of the team. Weak with the puck, poor decision making when pressured, lackadaisical effort away from the puck and in the defensive zone. I can't wait till he's off this team.

Even nevesis thinks Hank was weak on the first goal, bro. He was. But it was mostly Moore's fault.

You don't blame a goalie ever on a 2 on 1, as long as the goalie is playing the shooter. That being said, his mistake TECHNICALLY was that he should have been extra aggressive (coming out harder on on the shooter) because he showed backhand shot the whole time.

If he somehow was able to show that he might pass it back to the other guy, you have to take that chance.

Keep in mind, this is decision making that all happens within a split-second. Easy it is not. He didn't miss it by much.

The thing that really bothered me in the third period was that Rangers never adjusted from the Avs stacking the boards on the forecheck.

Rangers kept trying to clear the puck along the wall where they were outnumbered. AV needed to adjust there.

Girardi returns to his caveman Torts roots when he's in a high stress situation and that's what he did there, weak clear up the boards. That play works maybe once in 100 attempts. He's not a stupid player, but he does stupid things sometimes. The team that hasn't allowed a goal like that in that situation all year looked like they were completely flustered. It was a disgrace from professional athletes.

the **** are you talking about? He had several great plays in the 3rd.

Girardi was brutal. He had a dumb pinch on the first goal. He should've known that John Moore was playing defense and not McDonagh. Moore is terrible in his own end and G really should recognize that and not make that pinch. The second goal Girardi might as well have shot it past Hank himself and saved us a couple of seconds.
