Congrats to Cam Talbot. Took an unconventional route, kept his head done, worked hard, made the NHL as a backup as a 26/27 year old and got his first shutout in his fifth game, 1-0, in Montreal. That's got to be satisfying.

Talbot needs more games. I honestly am beginning to think we have something very special in this guy. It's beginning to remind me a whoooooole lot of how Neilson had to use Beezer and Richter.

Interesting comparison. If Cam keeps it up, there's gonna be some goalie controversy.

Kreider is good though. I mean, it is just impressive. He should have had a goal, give Price credit he played a solid game.

Wish he had buried that last shot on the layaway from Zucc, was a nice piece of hockey until the finish.

For sure. It seems like every game he could have at least 2 or 3 points. I think they'll come but for now I'm just being greedy and want him to score at a PPG pace.

Talbot looks okay. If he were a year younger and eligible for our prospect polls I'm thinking he'd be at least in our top 5. Huge game by Kreider. Loved how he ran over Emelin. I also thought Falk looked really good on the right side. Best game by Staal in a while.

It does get frusrating seeing Kreider not bury one, but look at the effect his play is having on the team. It just changes things, it tilts the ice back a bit toward the other team, it is a big factor.
I sure hope some goals come his way, though, he is working hard.
