Nice move. Getting a #6 defenseman with a little upside for an AHLer and a late pick. Could see another move happening here with a D, that's 5LD and 2RD.
Deal was Falk for 6th. Ferriero was a throw in to get under the 50 contracts limit.
Quite a bit better player. Not sure I get the comparison. Are you sure you've seen Falk play?
Why we want to become less mobile when one of our biggest issues was immobility, is mindnumbing.
Can't move the puck out of our own end, or through the neutral zone.
Earth to Sather...need more mobility, not less.
I'm confused. Wouldn't that put them in the exact same boat then? A contract was swapped for a contract and the sixth rounder isn't until 2014?
Essentially the Rangers traded Gaborik for Brassard,Moore,Dorsett and Falk.

Can he just play the left side or can he play the right too?
Rangers are at 50 contracts. They want to trade a 6th rounder for Justin Falk. However, such a move would put them at 51 contracts, which is not allowed. Therefore, they include Benn Ferriero in the deal so that it stays at 50. Get it?
Loved the hits in the first 2 clips, been waiting for this team to get a little snarl on D.
So the Rangers now have 7 NHL capable D-men:
McD
Staal
MDZ
Moore
Girardi
Stralman
Falk

Gaborik and Kolarik, technically.
The Rangers had to trade an expiring contract, so we will see what the future holds for Ferriero. The Wild could be just doing the Rangers a favor.
Mike Russo reported the Wild took Ferreiro for the 50 SPC limit.
