If anyone really wants this team to have an actual glimmer of hope at a playoff run they pretty much need to run the table in their next 4, especially with 3 of them being at home.

Those are all h2h's against teams that you're in direct competition with for those spots and those 4 point swings are massive.

My guess is they get dunked on. Those teams have been going well (better than NYR) and are just more motivated to do shit. The Rangers have had a nice little run, but gravity is dragging that other shoe back to earth.

They'll finish lower than that but honestly who cares?

As long as they don't do something stupid like self rent Lindgren anything that is going to be substantial and potentially culturally shifting is going to happen this summer via trade and/or UFA. A full rebuild isn't happening and there isn't a franchise altering talent available in this draft outside of Schaefer and this team isn't Chicago/San Jose bad so they won't have the chance to get him.

Agree. Draft is a total toss-up. Play to win. The only caveat is, I’d like to see them give Jones, Mancini, and Bedard and other youngsters more ice time.

I guess the question is, what about the other 45 mins? If the rangers were clearly better for 15 mins and the rest it was break-even, we’re doing ok. I only saw a little bit of the game but what I saw the rangers were in control out at least, the other team wasn’t threatening at all.

The Utah goalie was bad. The Rangers had no business winning that game.

LOL....I watched the 94 Cup Final on a few nights at the bar in much the same state after many beers ....and Turk was usually standing about 6 ft away . I definitely was the only Ranger fan in the building drunk or sober . I don't miss them days of drinking and carousing .....I miss the Cup drama though !

Yup...and move out CK-Mika if possible and Panarin at the draft or at next year deadline . Get younger and faster and a bit meaner if possible . Our team is just too nice OA .

Panarin must be hitting the Grey Goose between periods recently because he has some of the most egregious turnovers ive seen in recent memory in the last few games. tape to tape jobs to defenders in areas where no Ranger is within 10 feet lol. Hilarious player because he ends the night with 2 goals anyway.

I know everyone is down on Laf but, he set the tone in the first period. good forecheck play to feed Panarin for the first goal right after we went down early. Then made 2 potentially goal saving defensive plays backchecking. Had plenty of more chances and was creating all night but he is in a Sad Buchnevich level finishing drought rut right now. Kid deserves some slack.
