there were at least 20 games the Rangers got bodied in a literal sense last year. It's a real part of the game and until Quinn changes his late 90s offense and collapsing D the Rangers are gonna need it more than most teams.Fair enough. I just think that Lindgren brings a lot to the table on the back end. Grit, physicality, takes the body. I know that in some way, those players have become out of fashion, but how long has this team been looking for a player like that. Even if it's on the bottom six pairing.
I think we're going to see Lundqvist start the season strong again, I think his second half performance and people talking like he's done last season will be a big motivating factor. Even more so, I think the optimism and offseason moves (KK, Panarin, Trouba) will not only make the team better on the ice which will help both goalies, but it will have Hank in a better place mentally. That’s one day though. And he’s not running a marathon he’s battling in the crease he’s up down up down. Burning a ton of energy in spurts or quick sprints if you will. Very different lol
I’m wondering why JD is giving this press conference and not Gorton
Except for those goofballs who run around with the giant costumes on.Marathoners don't carry 35 pounds of equipment around with them.
I don't get how being fatter would give you "more in the tank" lmao fat people get tired way faster than thinner people
it's hard to keep weight on during a season. it's not uncommon at all for guys to play at 5 or 10 or even 15 pounds lighter than their training camp weight when travel and diet and lack of rest compound with a lack of gym time to maintain their offseason gainzI don't get how being fatter would give you "more in the tank" lmao fat people get tired way faster than thinner people
"When I come back like JordanI may be the only one who likes 45 for Kakko
Aren't they becoming thinner because of how tiring the season is, not being tired because of becoming thinner tho lolit's hard to keep weight on during a season. it's not uncommon at all for guys to play at 5 or 10 or even 15 pounds lighter than their training camp weight when travel and diet and lack of rest compound with a lack of gym time to maintain their offseason gainz
Hank probably lost the weight to lessen the stress on his joints more than anything else.
He’s old and has played a ton of hockey.
No I get it but too much then takes you in the direction of lack of energy if you’re frame wants more on it.
I’ve done both honestly. Few seasons I cut extra weight I felt awful in game. Like would lose my legs. And at same time now I definitely feel it more on my joints than in the past. Just wonder if he’s compensated too much on energy to be lighter. H has looked rail thin the last few years.
No offense to you but he’s got better people guiding him along the way.
It’s not like he went rogue and completely changed the way he trains. I don’t think his issues have been energy related, it’s been a combination of a few things (age, team sucking, mentally checking out, etc.)
You mean Wendy’s spicy chicken sandwich on way to the rink wasn’t the best decision last night?
Strap 20 pounds of equipment on them and see how they do....Marathoners are rail thin and they can go on forever.![]()
