Nieves is an older experienced player here and probably should be standing out a bit, but his problem has always been being consistently useful at the NHL level

The concussions haven't helped. He has 19 points in 72 career games, which is pretty good given his limited role. I'd really like to see him make the team, but I'm afraid he'll get squeezed out until we can trade someone.

Not that I think it'll matter in the long run, but it's interesting to think that this will be Panarin's first time playing primarily with a right-handed shot center.

eh honestly I just don't buy it. I don't think he's skilled enough to be more than a tweener, or really fouth liner at best. That's fine if he can do it but every year he's on the bubble

Can't imagine Keane making the team as Vince said. Crazier things have happened but I don't see it, he wasn't even really thriving at TC with way lower competition.

Nieves being a solid 4C isn't unrealistic at all imo. With a bit of improvement over last year he can play that position safely. Sounds like he's having a good camp so far.

I think he has the tools and the physical requirements but almost no vision whatsoever, and seems to have a lot of "OK, I just made that pass/checked that guy... mmm, what should I do next" kind of flow interruptions in his game. Could be wrong but have to think that ship has sailed as far as a regular spot. Always an easy first callup choice.

Keane won’t make this team. If anything Smith will move to the right side and play. At that point u could sign Morrow as the 7th to a contract that you can waive and erase from the cap when needed.

Kakko still wearing #45?

Uh oh. lol

Why wouldn't he? He hasn't made the team yet and hasn't picked his number.

#Forthe100thtime.

Not sure the relevance that has with my post?

Really? You don't see the correlation?

Number 24

@The Crypto Guy

Are you Pejorative Slured? Or just trolling?

Oh my god you can't say Pejorative Slured? What's wrong with saying Pejorative Slured?

Jordan is 23?

He also turned that into a marketing campaign that resulted in playing so poorly in a playoff game that he reverted back to 23. This might not be the best example

The only reason why I don't want him (or Lias for that matter) to wear the number is because I'd like to see them have a say in what jersey he'll wear for the next decade, especially since all star players get the chance to do so.

He was a downright train wreck, but early in the year anything can happen.

But maybe Kakko picked number 45? The same way Reunanen picked 51 and Kravtsov picked 74.
