How many pairs of players switched to the same jersey number (that they had never worn before in the NHL) after being traded for each other? It happened this summer when Alex Chiasson and Jason Spezza both switched to #90, a number that neither had worn before in the NHL, after they were traded for each other.

I thought I did... I extensively researched this, just not extensively enough.

FWIW, Kopecky didn't play a single minute in the '08 playoffs, so it may depend how you define "won the Cup."

If memory serves, he was injured in the second-last game of the regular season.

Last NHL goalie to be scored on while not wearing a mask?

Anyone know who the last NHL goalie was who gave up a goal while not wearing a mask? It's not Andy Brown nor the Gumper.

1. Who was the goalie ?
2. Who scored the goal ?
3. What was the year?

Is not it some modern goalie who has lost the mask in skirmish and someone scored on him?
Or is such situation not possible due to the rules?

The Gumper

I'm thinking it might have been this guy, while in this uniform...but it's just a guess

edit: reread the first post...sounds like the OP already knows the answer

Nope, it wasn't Gump and no I am not sure I know the real answer. But it did happen after Gump retired. I saw a goal scored on a maskless goalie the other day on an NHL Classic game. He had played about 30 seconds after he lost his mask.

And yes, it's also true that now as soon as a goalie looses his mask that they blow the whistle so I doubt it will happen again.
