Battery life falls to shit in the cold. I used to own a plug-in hybrid and my range would drop by 50% or more.
Yeah I expected it, but this is a steeper drop off than last winter. I try to rely on the heated seats and keep the cabin heater off, but sometimes it's just too damn cold and the ICE runs to keep the batteries warm

Just drove an hour home and the efficiency in the hybrid is back to a respectable 38mpg. I suspect it will level out around 35 for the next 2 months now

Finally got my Milwaukee heated jacket boys!

Still waiting on the battery to charge via USB 🙄 But for now even the shell of it is doing ok.

Could have used it a couple days ago in the -15c and now this week is going up to +10 lol

Pre-condition the battery by remote starting for 10 minutes so you don’t have to run the fan as high. Higher heat with lower fan helps range. Its helped with all hybrids I’ve had including my current F150.

When i remote start, it defaults to a cabin temp of 72. I usually run the fan on auto until it warms up inside and then i shut it off. With the vents open it still brings in a ton of warm air from the engine bay, but it’s way hotter on the highway cuz the engine is running

Yea our Fusion EnergI would get that way. Range would drop to about 13 miles and I’d get about 31 MPG. My F150 hybrid does about the same as my previous gas F150 unless you baby it in town. I do short highway distance…

It's been good. The heat on high or even medium is noticeable but the battery only lasts for about 4 hours. So I'd recommend a 2nd battery cause they take forever to charge via USB. Also the jacket works best the closer it is to your body. So plan on layering over top of it rather then underneath. Which means buy a smaller size

I'm just presuming, but if the heating elements are the same I'd still get the jacket. Only reason, it being a bit more water proof. The hoody you'd be tempted to wash more as well, which im sceptical of doing as it is now with my jacket or my heated blankets. I spend too much time outside 😅

How to almost accidentally kill yourself and your family:

- unintentionally drive by a Porsche dealership and see arguably your favorite current gen car in the entire world (a car that is almost impossibly rare in the USA): a sparkling brand-new Cayman GT4 RS.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH

Never meet your heros ,best not test drive that rig.
Buy a Forza game and buy the car , paint it your favorite color and proceed to wrap it around trees.
