these bojangles breakfast biscuts are tasty. will try cheerwine later

Cheerwine is definitely an interesting one on your first try. Damn addictive though once you get used to it. Which is like a lot of the other stuff at Bo's, which.... Look I'm not saying that Bo's is a front for getting people addicted, but if i were operating such a front it would be a lot like Bo's.

If you believe that terrible drivers exist only in [this new place you've never been before], then you probably haven't ventured out into the United States enough.

They're f***ing everywhere.
I agree with this, as someone who has driven in 49 of 50 states. the one place that distinguishes itself to me after all my driving is South Florida. not necessarily because the drivers there are particularly bad, but at any given moment on highways or on local streets, you are likely to encounter both maniac $1M-sportscar speedsters AND barely-coherent-or-coordinated-enough-to-operate-the-transmission-properly seniors and beach people. in the same trip. not only that, traffic is pretty steady at almost a 24/7 rate. it makes the roads there feel extra treacherous.

In my neighborhood (new builds) , the price of the same base model home I have is $30,000 more than we paid last May. Probably a lot more than that as lot premiums are higher too and that doesn’t include upgrades.

it’s nuts right now all over the triangle. With low interest rates, I’ve tried buying a property to rent and everything has multiple offers almost immediately. Inventory was exceedingly low as the pandemic hit and is probably worse now.

I think it was in February that my SVP said out loud in a staff meeting that we're no longer able to recruit people based on cost of living. The biggest part of that is that people from most areas won't see an instant payoff from cashing out their homes and buying something bigger for cheaper in the Triangle.

That's one of those quiet thresholds that can fundamentally shift the macro picture.

The spot offers a variety of cereals in different milkshake + bowl combinations. There are 12 house cereal creations — including Scooby Snacks with Cinnamon Toast Crunch, graham crackers, Oreo bits, and peanut butter drizzle — as well as the option to build your own bowl.
“There are also cereals you can’t get in store. While we do have classics like Cocoa Puffs and Fruit Loops, we also have Day and Night exclusives like Little Debbie’s Cosmic Brownie Cereal,” Briana McGahee, owner of Raleigh’s Day and Night, said. “My daughter loves Baby Shark Cereal.”

For the food lovers among us - looking to experiment. Can't say I have ever had a cereal & milkshake combo.

When my wife and I went to Charlotte on a weekend trip last month we saw there was a Day and Night stand in Truist Field when we went to see the Bulls play the Knights. Alas, it was closed by the time we were feeling hungry.

Best bbq in Durham in your opinions? I'm interested in legit, authentic North Carolina style BBQ. Whole hog, vinegar, etc you name it. Got a month before I'll be there

Tip: Wherever you go be sure to look for smoke, or at least a functional chimney. If they're not smoking it, they're getting it from off-site and it's not what you're looking for.

Picnic isn't vinegar-based, though. They do that "Carolina Compromise" sauce that combines Eastern and Western. I also think they're a little overpriced, FWIW and if I remember right I think they're still takeout only. Were I @rkwittem I'd drive a little further out and go to Hillsborough BBQ Company. Great 'que, good beer list (and cocktails), and their desserts are pretty good - or skip dessert and go next door to Whit's for frozen custard.
