Anaheim would add, and even if they did, I don't want to make this trade. Why take a lower upside player, who's older, who is holding out, who wants a ton of money he shouldn't get and who doesn't fit a team need?

Buch still has 3 ELC years left and is NY's most highly touted prospect, Rakell is a RFA and there's rumors of him signing elsewhere, why does NY do this?

How are people saying the Ducks would be the ones adding here? Rakell is proven while the other hasn't shown anything yet. Serious question here...I see decent khl numbers and that he wasn't drafted until the 3rd round. What am I missing here that makes him more valuable than Rackell?

Its probably because Buch is one of the Ranger's few well off prospects.

Not that Rakell isnt good but I doubt youll get a Rangers fan to say yes. Its one of those 'lets wait and see' types

Cost factor plus BUCH's numbers in KHL at age compare well with Tarasenko and Kuny. High ceiling in other words, swapping him now would be selling low. Nothing against Rackell.

Most Rangers fans are very attached to Buch so any discussion of trading him won't go well.

Ana and NYR fans interested? Which team adds?

Not interested at all in trading Rakell for a Russian prospect.

No we would not add Rangers would need to add onto their prospect for Rakell who has proven himself in the NHL. Also don't like the idea of DUcks going after a 21 year old Russian prospect.

Looks like he is NHL ready and will start for NYR this season. You are in cap trouble and getting a pretty solid prospect who has 3 years left on ELC, i dont think its such a bad idea.

If that's what it takes to get fowler and rakall for pacioretty and Beaulieu. No need to be to attached to current players and bringing in fresh talent. Value can't be to far off considering duck fans wouldn't do it either.

Trading away a Rakell who had top 6 production this past year for a 21 year old Russian prospect is a bad idea. Rangers would need to add something good.

You should really go look at Tarasenko's and Kuny's numbers for the KHL becasue he is no where close to theres lol.
