I don’t think we can simultaneously think we’re possible contenders for a wild card spot because of these pitchers while also throwing up our hands any time they have a bad start. Which is it? They’re just not a playoff team. Especially when so much else with this roster is flawed, which is the biggest issue, because yes… young pitchers having some occasional issues will happen.

This team is nowhere near playoff contention. We're not much closer than when Cherington took over. This is an easy 90 loss team over a full year and 100 is absolutely in play, especially as the league is pushing back on Jones and I'm sure the same will happen with Skenes once the book on him is filled in.

The team is abysmal in almost every area. They do almost nothing well in any area and are the worst in multiple areas like fielding and bullpen.

Good starting pitching can only keep you afloat, but this team is a catastrophe.
