I'm gonna say 10-12 game losing streak here.

I feel pretty silly in thinking we'd progress this year. Guess we're punting till 2024-2025 or so. I'm getting old, man.

Looking back, I really don't like the move of bringing in one of your more meh relievers with a 3-run lead and the Cards rallying.

Those were the most high-leverage at-bats of the night and Shelton put them in the hands of Banda.

Shelton has been taking quite few Ls. I’d like to think he’s just experimenting and would ultimately do better with a more solid roster but I don’t think that’s going to happen.

The usual suspects beating our asses lol.

Teams with upper tier development own us. Shocking. Truly. /s

Easy. Take Chang out. Move Marcano to 2B where his glove is more valuable. Put CSN in LF.

I know winning is not a big priority this year but leaving young players on the bench does absolutely no good. Why send Swaggerty down if they planned on playing Bry at DH during the doubleheader? Why hang onto Chang? I'd like to think SN will play tonight but I also wouldn't be surprised if he's left on the bench again

Tired of this organization.

@KesselMania is right. Something is off with the development at the upper minors. Either that or this group of prospects kinda sucks.

And now Hayes can't seem to do anything but hit infield pop ups

For looking so impressive at the plate, the production is so meager.

But in reality Hayes is doing as well as could possibly be asked for. We need to find great hitting production elsewhere. Maybe Cruz is it.

If this hadn't been a clear problem for going on a decade now, I'd err on the side of weak prospects. But we've seen our guys get dominated by mediocre to decent pitchers who have good command since Huntington's guys first started coming up. Their approach at the plate is just not where it should be. And our pitchers are too often dramatically improving once going elsewhere. I suspect the dev approach/ coaching is just not what it needs to be at AAA.

Our SP has actually been quite solid since the last week of May. It's just outside that explosion in LA the bats have largely been inept. And it doesn't help when Shelton keeps putting retread bums in the lineup over the young guys who should be getting consistent reps.

Castillo, nice knowing you bud.

Send Castillo down for Cruz. DFA Chang for Bae. Martin for (pick a bum).

1. Marcano - 2B
2. Cruz - SS
3. Reynolds - CF
4. Chavis - 1B
5. Hayes - 3B
6. Martin - DH
7. Bae - LF
8. Suwinski/Mitchell/CSN - RF
9. Catcher

Run that. Please.
