Yeah, let's hope there's no lingering effect from taking that square on the knee. I saw a brief note earlier that he as 2 DRS this year. His defense seems to really be standout, and so with him taking good ABs and having the power stroke, he's a pretty interesting player right now.

He should be stapled to the everyday lineup so that we can get the maximum look at him possible. I'd even go as far as to say that we should be aggressively looking for any kind of Newman trade (which is going to be necessary anyways when we give Cruz the call, IMO) so that we can get more looks at him at SS.

Hes a guy that on a good team should be you 7 hole hitter. But if he is (legitimately, not just because hes a rookie etc) you got a good offense. Also encouraged by the average to maybe good defense.

Well, we were in this game for a bit but the wheels are off. With no margin for error, you can't make mistakes on defense. IMO Reynolds' drop was worse than Tucker's.

How do you let Thompson throw to Yelich when Thompson couldn't find the zone, the Brewers kept hitting deep flyballs, and a lefty was ready?

The versatility guys can still suck in the outfield. Tucker doesn't have it. Really he should be off the team once rosters contract. Him and VanMeter, especially if Castro keeps forcing the issue.

I like Thompson but that was a rough, rough inning. Time for some mop up guys.
