Maine is a funny state as people will debate where "real maine" starts. Some say it is north of Bangor (lol)Excellen
Excellent and thank you. Just the type of information that I was looking for.
Millinocket is an interesting town.Maine is a funny state as people will debate where "real maine" starts. Some say it is north of Bangor (lol)
But if you are committing to go all the way to Old town, bailing on Southern Maine but seeing the "mid Coast" which is between Brunswick and Belfast is about as good as it gets aside from going to Mount Desert Island which is where Acadia National park is.
Did that drive about 6 years ago. Boothbay and Camden were both nice. Portland was....weird....as expected. Driving at night up there kind of sucks because it's absolute darkness if you take back roads.Yes then take 95 unless you want to do sight seeing along rt 1.
A good option would be to take 95 to Portland, then 295 to Freeport (LL Bean flagship) then jump on RT1. You will get alot of Maine views in Bath, Wiscassett, Damariscotta, Rockport, Camden, Belfast, etc.
Never been on one and never care to. All I ever hear is people getting massively sick on them. I'm not a big travel person anyhow.Am I the only one who thinks cruises are awful? They are floating shopping malls
I think it's the thing to do in Ellsworth.Always nice to see new candlepin lanes opening! Far more of them have closed.
We were near Millinocket years ago on our honeymoon....traveled the Golden Road to see moose.Millinocket is an interesting town.
Great scores! I bowled in leagues when i was a kid, age 7-13ish. My average hovered around 85-87, second place to the same kid every yearwent candlepin bowling last night at the new American Flatbread in Worcester.
bowled a 97, 114 and 100. not bad for not playing since before covid.
The pizza was so good too.
Kinda sad 20 years ago it was once the spot of Lucky Dog music hall and before that Sir Morgans Cove.
I saw online that regular candlepin bowlers average 85-100Great scores! I bowled in leagues when i was a kid, age 7-13ish. My average hovered around 85-87, second place to the same kid every year
Seems fair. It’s surprisingly difficult to stay consistent in that range. I guess like anything else, you did it frequently enough and you tend to get better at it.I saw online that regular candlepin bowlers average 85-100
I bowl in a weekly league and my average hovers around 101. We have a guy in our league who averages over 120 but he also bowls 5 nights a week and works at a bowling alley so he’s pretty dedicated.I saw online that regular candlepin bowlers average 85-100
Shocking? No. That is natural with natural selectionWe had an interesting walk on our favourite trail. We saw a Snapping Turtle acting oddly, we kept seeing flashes of red when it was trying to move something. After watching for a while, we finally realized it was eating a rabbit. I didn't know they ate animals but searched it when we got back, and sure enough, they will eat fresh carrion. It is hard to see in the picture, but the claw is holding the rabbit down, the small round, whitish shape is the bunny tail. It was a little shocking!
