Being honest, I didn't "hate" it. I certainly didn't love it though. It was a middling "big" contract and Chaim got it wrong.

He looks lost up there I keep waiting for his 20 games 8 homeruns 350 average that carries his overall stats but nothing

Sogard is working there for now though, so need to let him go until he proves you can’t go to him there.

I wish they’d give Story the ultimatum. “1B or utility”. Call up Mayer and leave Campbell at 2B.

He should not be in the 4 spot. I don’t know why they’re using him there. The most success he’s had came in the 7-hole.

He’s never been used in the 2-hole. I’d like to see him there and devers slides back to the 3.

He’s got protection behind him. Duran gets on and he’s got someone on the base paths causing havoc for the pitcher. And if Duran gets out, Campbell is a good hitter to get on with speed.

Abreu (fully intending to PH Refsnyder late in games vs. LH releivers)

1B (and I’d strongly consider Wong here for a bit)

Agree with those who want to see Mayer and/or Anthony injected into the lineup.

Not 100% sure how/where.

If one can play 1B, obviously that’s the easiest. Story to 1B has been mentioned and I truly think giving GG’er Abreu a shot there isn’t the worst idea…..until/if it proves to be.

Lots of questions…but this lineup needs some improving.

I would bat Devers 4 or 5 even with his decrease in power. Batting him 2 is somewhere between bizarre and idiotic. You need contact with a little power out of the two spot. Is that Devers??? I believe hitters hit no matter where you put them, but there are exceptions. Campbell I would move down but because he is not a pure power hitter. (He needs to learn to hit sliders and cutters.)
Story, I would DFA his sorry, selfish.....and eat the money. They will not do that. Bat him eighth.

Not sure why we’re forcing one of our prized prospects to 1B over Story at this point. You have the SS of the future raking in AAA.

Make the easy call. Story to 1B or bench player. Campbell stays a 2B and Mayer takes over SS.

Then you just need to figure out a way for Anthony.

He’s kinda not wrong. Zero buzz anywhere. When I wear my Sox gear, I always get asked, “how’re they doing?”

If they were watching, they’d know.

I plead guilty, I guess, watching playoff hockey every night, and during the day more focused on world soccer(Europa League final, the tight race for Champions League spots in the EPL). Sure, I know the Red Sox are hovering around .500, but I care more, a lot more, about the Bruins nailing the coaching hire and the draft. Fenway is a nice tourist attraction.

I think he doesn't throw fastball enough, he basically throws 4 pitches and throws them all pretty much 25% of the time.

Use the fastball more to setup the change up and sinker.

No one to blame but Bello for not being able to throw strikes.

He's a major league pitcher. 92 pitches, only 52 strikes.

Sound thought process but the problem is there is zero sense of urgency for this franchise to win or put pressure on someone like Story to actually perform. It's a country club.

Bello’s changeup is completely broken

Team added legit stars and are just as bad if not worse than they are the last two years somehow. They lose in the same heartbreaking ways. Change the culture. Fire Cora (not gonna happen tho unfortunately)
