5th year options declined on 3 draftees
I’m surprised on Jacobs. Figured the cost to keep him in that 5th was still solid value.
Ferrell and Abrams haven’t played up to the level of what a 5th year option would cost.

But there is new management and th y may have a different opinion on how to pay guys. NE didn’t pay their RB for example.

I don't think RBs are going to get the 5th year deals much. Jacobs would be $8m, which would put him in top 5 RB pay. What makes it worse is many RBs might be told to demand an extension or sit out. Top players take this path, not sure if Jacobs is in that group, but not to say he wouldn't do it because many teams might say $8m is as much as I'll pay you and then where does that leave the guy? He could get hurt or just show some slowdown in year 5 and be in a spot where no one gives him $8m per year afterwards. So sitting out is very possible even if you exercised the 5th year.

Raiders trade down to get an extra 5th round pick and still get G Dylan Parham. For what it's worth, Mel Kiper Jr. has Parham as the 3rd best guard in the draft.

Given the lack of a 1st and 2nd, the Raiders did a solid job.

Parham probably starts day 1 given that the options are Simpson, James, Leatherwood in the Interior. Munford as well for depth on day 3.

Took 2 RB, so clearly in response to not extending the 5th year option on Jacobs. NE has gone cheap on RB cap hit wise over the years.

Farrell and Butler to beef up the Interior of the DL to help in the run game.

No corners or LB taken. But, they took like 4 secondary guys last year.

I wonder if there will be a few (undrafted) free agents invited to summer camp as tryouts to help fill out the depth.

I'm wondering who is going to play OT. Team must have a plan because they could have picked highly rated Zack Tom with either of the their 4th round picks. Of course they have a need for nose tackles too.

I don’t think LV signed anyone in free agency.
Miller, Parham, James, Simpson, Leatherwood for now appear to be the starting group.

Duane Brown nearing the end of his career and is still unsigned. With the selection of Cross and Lucas he’s unlikely returning to Seattle.

Probably the best option right now. Not sure if he or Miller in that case would swing over to the RT spot.

Hmmm.
Need to get him straightened out. He played well for them as a rookie but with Ruggs and Arnette, it’s not a good track record in their 2 years in LV of rookie contract guys obeying the law and being responsible.

Vaccinations, masks, no longer required for Raiders games at Allegiant.
For now…. Hopefully there isn’t another variant that would require closing things down.
