The aggressive attacking style they were using the first half or so of the game LL changed, and switched them into a sit-in-your-own-zone/pass prevent defense, and it of course burned them.

Very predictable, and quite inexcusable.

Barzal can be forgiven since he missed 2 months and might be still nursing something, Horvat is apparently ineffective offensively unless he is getting fed by someone
