Nearly every goalie in the league that achieved UFA status is overpaid to some degree, even the elites. Shesterkin and Vasilevky are great, but not worth near those contracts. Same with Bobrobsky. It’s unfortunately a position that forces an overpay for anyone other than total fliers, and even then you can only get value for one year if they perform.

I think the market value of goalies is inflated relative to what they bring to their team at the moment. Make sense?
