Value of: Quinn hughes

Sees proposals without Siegenthaler + L. Hughes coming back, and folks railing on Quinn's defensive ability given his skating

You're not seeing those proposals because NJ doesn't need Quinn so why are we going to dismantle our roster for him? Is Quinn a great player worth a massive haul? Yes he is without question but we become a worse team by trading away multiple players for him. Also if NJ ever did entertain a Hughes trade, in no way would Luke be on the table because the only purpose of the trade would be to unite the 3 brothers. Even if it was Siegs & Nemec I wouldn't do it because once again it doesn't make us a better team. By trading away both those players we then have a giant hole on D to fill. Quinn is worth a huge haul but you just aren't going to get that from NJ especially since we can just sit back & wait for him to come to us naturally.

Wasn't actually expecting the Devils to tear apart their roster, but just wanted to raise an unattainable example of a return since franchise players are rarely available without a king's ransom. Sure hope Vancouver's good by the time 2026-27 rolls around and he needs a new contract, or we'll have a gaping hole in our blueline.

Vancouver isn't trading Hughes for anything except a massive overpayment and even then, they still would not trade him. Hughes is a big part of that Vancouver offense imo
