I hate cousins. He’s been useful player but absolute idiot.
Modern day Matt Cooke. Runs top players with regularity and on the edge. Unfortunately teams have little recourse with these guys anymore with no fighters and the instigator punishment.

I actually really like your team but cannot stand that guy. Pretty sad when here we are again. MVP candidate smacked with a late hit after he had moved the puck. Fortunately i think it's just a shoulder stinger but i saw the whole thing and it was late and in the old days he would have rightly got his ass kicked

Wildcard race could heat up. Only team I see doing it are Utah though. FTR.. Calgary is so much better than I expected. Good for them.
Utah is like Seattle and the Blues for that matter, they get close and you think maybe now they make a push then they crap the bed again for a bit.

Calgary might make a push if they play wolf more often.

Heck the Flames might move Kuzmenko for.....oh ya he was crap like many suggested.

Sorry I don't know Canucks players too well. Who is this dude that sorta looks like Bradley Cooper in this gif?

Yikes really magnifies how poorly constructed this defense really is!
Yes, the defense is horrible on paper. However, that would be true for the vast majority of teams if their top 2 dmen are injured.

Very few teams in this league actually have good depth on the blueline.

They need to go back to Lankinen until Demko can put some good games together.

They’re gonna wind up falling apart letting him find his game if he doesn’t find it immediately.

It’s not like they didn’t win a playoff round with him last year. It’s not like they haven’t been in a playoff spot all season without him.

Demko’s numbers aren’t really reflective of how he’s played. He’s definitely not playing like last year and he should have been able to make a stop to hold the win against Seattle, but he’s been mostly ok. Lankinen was awful his last start as well and was battling something that kept him out of being the backup for a few games. I imagine they’ll start rotating more going forward.

I think he's been pretty just whatever to poor, especially that Seattle game.

Yea, just whatever isn’t a bad descriptor outside of Seatle where he was bad lol. They’ll need more with Hughes out, and but he hasn’t been like Silovs bad where the team couldn’t trust him to make a save.

I know people want to talk about next man up etc... But Quinn Hughes is the closest thing to LeBron James I've seen in the NHL, both get detracted for their "killer instinct" or lack of relentless aggressive highlight reel scoring, but in terms of controlling the game and ball/puck they are unmatched. People like to rag on LeBrons teams for playing "Bron Ball", but this year you can definitely call the Canucks style as Quinn Puck...

Many of those LeBron teams are lottery tier without him, let's see how the Canucks can survive. In the long run, this is probably a good thing, team got way too reliant on Quinn having a Hart level season just to survive.
Lebron is on the tail end of his career but very good comparison.

Hughes is the Lebron James of hockey. And JT Miller has that Black Mamba mentality.

It's scary to think of what the Canucks are going to do to the rest of the league. If the Canucks had Miller and Hughes in the early 2000s I think the NHL is the #1 pro sports league in the world.

With the world opening up to Internet streaming back then I have no doubt an entire generation across the planet would have grown up knowing the name Quinn Hughes.
