Carolina Disarrays. This collection of skating pylons is on Jim Rutherford. Long season ahead...get a bunker.

ok so with the full set of regulars during the season, its usually not a surprise when an egg is laid for the second game in a back to back....but in preseason with some tweeners in a back-to-back-to-back with obvious declines each night, its blow up the team?

cam ward is rusty until about halfway through the season when he will make the seamless transition from being rusty to being overworked.

So am I allowed to call this defense awful yet?

Unless you feel like saying the Bruins are going to be terrible this year because the Red Wings abused them last night, then no. Maybe give them 1 regular season game before you write them off? You know, when all the regulars actually play. Ward sucking is obviously a concern, but he always starts like garbage. If they actually give him 4 preseason gamesc maybe he is OK by week 2 or 3.

And I thought it was weird listening to the Columbus feed the other night. Watching a Carolina Hurricanes game in French is pretty wild. We suck even in a foreign language. :yo:

I'm puking in my mouth watching this game.

No way Dalpe makes the team. He looks terrible out there....

Bowman looks better, but he won't score more than 10 goals in a year.

Three games in three nights, fellas, all in different cities. I don't know what Montreal's schedule has been, but ours has been absolutely brutal. Wouldn't read much into it.

We have 35 guys on our roster and we're rolling four lines and three d pairings, and it's the second week of training camp. Nobody is tired. Three games in a row is a non-factor, or else we wouldn't have scheduled it.

I'm so glad we're not overreacting to anything.

I don't think anyone is cashing in on the season, but I don't care who you are, this is alarming. Montreal doesn't have their regular-season lineup out there either. The regulars/tweeners ratio for both teams is about equal. That excuse doesn't fly.

Cam has looked like crap for the better part of two years now -- save a month here and there. And our defense still can't work their way out of a wet paper bag.

I guess we're just going to flip the switch on opening night with Detroit in town?

No, the sky is not falling, but it's getting pretty gloomy around here.

But it's not though. I'm not sure how many different ways people can say the preseason is meaningless.

And it's 6-0. Hilarity ensues.

You can say it as much, and as many ways, as you want, it doesn't make you right.

The games don't count, but they are not meaningless.

Preseason *results* are meaningless, but preaseason *play* is not.

10 years ago, Eric Staal led the NHL in preseason goals with 7 before putting up 11 in his rookie year. Jeff Skinner scored 2 preseason points before winning the Calder Trophy in his rookie year.

And those are just examples from this team.
