Four hours more rest for the other semifinal pairing. I never liked this with the scheduling. It's extremely unfair. If they do it this way, they should have a day off in between the semifinal day & the medal day to make it fair.
Only thing that the tournament organizers would have to fix is to start the entire tournament 1 day earlier and everything else would be the same. Start the tournament on Thursday instead of Friday and then add a day off between semifinal day and medal day. The reason they won't change it is because they want Saturday (semifinals) audience numbers that are of course higher than on a weekday. Entertainment side is more important than the sport side.
