I hope there comes a time when I can see a Finnish NHL top team playing against a Swedish SHL team. That would be nice.
That problaby won't happen but if it did, I think it'd be a pretty even game.

No need to post anymore in this thread. This gentleman wonFinland 4, Sweden 0.
Finland will start Olkinuora, who posts a shutout.
Kakko will score all four. First from a breakaway. The second with a lacrosse scoop. The third will bounce in from Lundqvist's helmet. The fourth will bounce in off Kakko's crotch. It will be allowed after a coach's challenge, because Grönborg will want to measure Kakko's stick to see if he was playing with illegal equipment.
Finland could gather a better on-paper team out of the guys from European leagues who declined or were otherwise unavailable.C'mon, Finland doesn't have their D team. They have their B team, just like Sweden. Finland just have less NHL players overall.
He just stated the facts in his post. Read it, no need to go to WikiDid not know that it was a fact, where can i find these facts? Wikipedia?

It´s no excuse. It´s a factI doubt it. Maybe 1 or 2 players. Either way no excuses.
Hahha, around 50 players only from Europe (KHL, the stars from SHL and Liiga) declined. Yes, this is Finland’s D team. Because I could only see three players even making the usual WC roster (Kakko, Manninen and Kaski)C'mon, Finland doesn't have their D team. They have their B team, just like Sweden. Its atleast a C-team. They have a ton of good KHLers that declined aswell. Borderline D-team. Lankinen is B-material, Jokiharju and Kakko are more or less A-Team material. Maybe a few other B-guys aswell in there but the rest of them are either C or D team.I doubt it. Maybe 1 or 2 players. Either way no excuses.
This is Finlands D team.
There was a discussion about if this was Finlands D team or not.Why not F team just to make it more dramatic?
And what is it then? A- team?To call it a B-team means you can replace the full team with better players. I am pretty sure Landeskog, EP, Klingberg, Lindholm, one of the goalies and a couple more could fit in the best team Sweden can field.

If you want to see team Sweden's B team, just look at their 2016 roster, which is still miles better than this current Finnish team on paper. 2016 IIHF World Championship rosters - Wikipedia

I didn´t call it anything. I think it´s a pretty damn good team (on paper). Let´s see how it plays out. I am pretty sure Sweden takes it home though. One way to make it a rilleri is if Finland takes the lead and stays out of the penalty box (sadly many stupid penalties will be taken for sure)you cant call it a a-team if not all our best players is here, we are missing around 10-12 players to call it a a-team
