Sweden was missing more of their best plsyers than Finland actually. But yeah, that team still should've beaten Finland.

Yeah right haha! Aho, Barkov, Laine, Teräväinen, Armia, Rask, Rinne, Granlund, Kotkaniemi, Borgström. Saros, Niku, Nutivaara, Lindell, Hintz, Heiskanen etc etc.
Go home. Finland has a D-team, sweden had their best except 4-5 players.

He deserves a statue in senaatintori. Replace that Russian guy with a 20 meter tall Jukka statue.
Alex number two stays, but Jalonen statue can go there stand with him hand over his shoulder.

Take that blind NHL fans! The difference between the NHL and the top European leagues is really pretty small. Finland has proven it clearly. The same goes with Switzerland and Germany. NHL is MASSIVELY overrated. The best league for sure, but not a yuuge difference still with the top European leagues class, like some blind NHL fans want to believe.

No need to get carried away. The difference is there and best-on-best tournaments tell you the harsh truth about that... Take away Fiala, Niederreiter or Josi from Switzerland – or Draisaitl, Grubauer or Holzer away from Swiss and German teams and they would never have made it this far.

This game is perfect example of team spirit, motivation and difference of bad coaching and good coaching.

I see famous former NHL player Tuomo Ruutu (Thomas Screen) of Chicago and Hurricane fame saying that our Finnish Lions deserved the victory. And I have to agree with the champion!
these are usually not as funny as we think :dunce:

Come on man...

Finland didn’t win because of great players, but because of an amazing TEAM effort and superior coaching.

Can't fathom Loui E on the ice in 3 v 3, but Manninen's shot was wicked good too. This win wasn't gifted...

He's just talking sh*t.

Sh*t your mouth. You are a pig thinking Grönborg was showing respect towards the reporters from SVT. Make no mistake about it.
Sweden has the best defenders and Grönborg still couldn't manage to build a decent team against a weak Finnish roster. Imagine if Jalonen and Grönborg would have changed places? I promise you that Finland would never stand a chance against that roster with the Finnish staff and you know this.
