GDT: Quarterfinal: Germany vs. Switzerland

Well, they don't need to take any risk, just need to hang on
I've seen too many times to count where teams don't perform that task well.

There is hanging on well and hanging on badly, I am sure you know what I am talking about.

They are still moving their feet and engaging with compete.

If Germany hangs on then they will play USA in the Semifinals (due to the re-seeding that takes place), and the Canada-Finland and Sweden-Latvia winners will play each other.

Will Seider be suspended?

Germany sv US in Semis, would be meaning that one team at first time in final since.........70 years or longer??? ;)

That's not pretty there, but I have a feeling that the frustation level is rising on the Swiss side.

German defensive zone defense has been very tight, but honestly im surprised and kinda disappointed at how toothless Swiss offense has been.

The Swiss made their bed not scoring on the major penalty, and still not capitalizing with Seider out.

A huge disappointment for a Swiss team that should've been a medal contender.

The thing is I get it, don’t want to risk injury. But why break up chemistry for even a game that was meaningless when the team was cooking and playing so well.

Our glorious coach thought it was a 3 d chess move because he lost last year in the quarters after winning every round robin game. Only problem was that it had the exact opposite effect. Hischier who had been good in the games before has been horrible today. Fischer let him sit vs Latvia.

Goodness me, I did not see that coming! I am sad for the Swiss, what a choke. But the Germans did it all very cleverly, a deserved win.

Well congrats to Germany, well played.

The Swiss will win this tournament sooner or later but it couldn't have been set up much better for them to do it for the first time then this year, definitely a missed opportunity for them.

Tough loss for sure.
