Not really.. when I read Seider was out I assumed Swiss would cruise to victory. Not score 2 goals while shorthanded.lol

This is amazing. Shame I have to watch the third of the Czech game since this is so much better of a game. Back to bitching on the other thread.lol luckily, third should have at least 5 minutes left after we lose 5 - 1.
Oh wow, 11 shots after 2 periods…

After we lose 5-1?? How on earth are we supposed to score that one goal??

Well, I feel like our team is way better as an underdog.

And I feel like this is something that applied a lot in Swiss sport in general.

The Swiss coaching is pathetic, but their play on the ice doesn’t help. Quite a predicament they’ve gotten themselves into.

Germany is better than people give them credit for, they can win over any team.

But I think Finland and USA are my no 1 favourites if Switzerland is knocked out.

Sweden as a dark horse. (or blue and yellow one) This will be the test for Sam Hallam as a coach - can go any way...

CanadaÅ› team seems to be the softest in many years, no match for Jaalonen I think ...

It doesn't matter if its vs Canada, the US or Germany. We almost always fold when the pressure is high. I don't like to say it but a lot of the players seem to be mental midgets. Hischier for example hasn't done jack vs the US last year and even less in the first two periods today. But a lot of the blame is to be laid on Fischers doorstep too. For a coach whose main strength is supposed to be his motivational skills, its a terrible sign if he is almost never able to have the players ready on "day X".
