Good game so far. Czechs definitely the better of the 2. Will be a good tight finish.

The last shot total that I heard was 17-11 Czechs. Take away those power plays and it will be pretty even. Although the Czechs didn't get any shots on the last power play IIRC.

but that is his only role here- to run the point on the power play - so when he is on the ice you damn well know he is letting it go!

You can see the wheels turning, creakingly slowly, but turning --

1....Hey, a puck!....
2.... I must wind....
3....up....
4....and...
5....shoooooot.

To be fair though. It’s not like he’s very good at much else so it’s probablh the right choice

The attendance figures are actually in the wiki article already.

Quite a few are in the 6,500 range but there are some around 3,000-4,000.
What actually confuses me is the official attendance numbers. For Korean preliminary games, for example, there have been very few empty seats but the attendance given is still at just 6000+. Below is a picture from the Korea - Czech Republic match. Attendance? 6025.

What’s the capacity though?

Yes agreed. Czech possession is a lot greater though. Their cycle is proving very challenging for the states. Scoring chances have been pretty close. Also note those penalties are a direct result of Czech possession/cycle domination.

There seems to be very few empty seats in this photo.
