Heroic game Denmark. So close... Group B seems a bit weak anyway. Sweden already up 2-0 (11-0 in shot at that time) and Swiss won over Belarus with 5-1 earlier today.
So it will be interesting to see what the Finns have in their tank against the Canadians.

Of course the more skilled team won and Provorov was good!

That was one horrible match until the 3rd period - but then we started playing our game - my god these Russians piss me off sometimes!!! Lord almighty, I was screaming my *** off when they scored. Damn this, I'm going for a walk, this is too much :D.

Respect to Denmark! Very smart, sneaky team! Lots of skill - man, you guys almost eliminated us. Team Russia, c'mon, you have to play the full 60! They only started playing like in the 2nd half of the 3rd period!
 
i didn't expect much from that team. but boy, so close to a fail of epic proportions. i hate svechnikov and lazarev. such bad players, it's cringeworthy
 
Full marks to Russians, I missed the first and second. It looked like men against boys in the 3rd and ot. Denmark was just hanging in looking for a bounce. They got it on the tying goal but chances are that you don't get another when you can't get out of your own end.

They were letting the Danes come into their zone without visas, very easily. Our defence was extremely passive with the Danes. That's what cost us bigtime.

Good lesson for them. I can also understand their frustration, because sometimes trapping teams like this are the worst to play against.
 
Aye, it feels like there are so many near-upsets in the WJC, but they never come to fruition. I've seen this story before so many times that I knew Russia was going to score on the faceoff before their goal :(

In any case, great effort Denmark
 
As much as I would have loved to see the Danes win, I'm excited for US-Russia semi-final match.

They seemed to be fully dominating, even in the 3rd, but the damn thing just wouldn't go in! They drove me nuts in this match, this is madness - this is RUSSIA!
 
It was a great exciting game... All props to Danes for making this so dramatic.. they played an awesome game and I feel sorry for them to lose like that..
On the other hand, I'm glad that there will be still great matchups in the medal round because lets face it.. I can't imagine Danes making another match in the semis or medal game dramatic like this.
Also, I for sure would not write Russians off.. they will be very dangerous team in the medal rounds even after such game so watch out.

The way they played in the 2nd half of the 3rd and in OT is their actual level - the first 2 periods, it seems they weren't even trying. Don't know what the hell they were doing in those periods.

It was just awful, Varnakov's Switzerland game is a good comparison. Svechnikov just was watching the game all that time... no, actually it looked like he was looking for a working stream to watch this game.
