It's possible people just like cheering for an upstart underdog, rather than "hating" Russia? Unless, you were addressing some of the posts like the Siberia one.. I'd assume those people are just kidding. Similar to the comments about how the Canadian coaches will never work in hockey again after this, etc. that were being made during this whole tournament.

Everybody loves the underdog. And let's face it, Russia the nation has done its best over the past decades to stir ill feelings in neighbouring countries at last. Surely not the WJC team's fault that, but still. Cannot escape reality.

Not possible. Would be over at 2-0 in that case.

I think Russia have a huge advantage at the skills contest, but also at the 4-on-4. Danes will need a bounce (similar to the puck hitting the ref's skate), whether it's a bad bounce in 4-on-4, or a puck skipping over a Russian's stick in SO, imo.
