After the last game I am pretty pessimistic, but game will tell. Go, Russia!

well, when I see the LWs here on line 1 and 2 I am really happy I will be on the car for a weekend trip to Sevilla.

Osiecki is just a bonehead. jesus christ ..

.. question: is there an online radio feed for this game?

thx

The Americans are the better team and more importantly, playing better at the moment.
Got to go with our American cousins for this one....as I predicted a Canada-USA final...that's the game I want.

Russia will school Americans in this one. Like it or not.

Russia may win but they're not gonna school anyone. The Americans have an excellent goalie and a very good team.

I think it's a toss up and will depend on which defence has the fewer mistakes. Russia's defence is as porous as the American defence.

The forwards and goals of both teams are about equal.

DraftBuzz Hockey preview up now, with live game analysis during.

MATCH - USA vs. RUS

With only one convincing win against the relegated Swiss, the Russians are fresh meat for the 2nd best Americans who are coming off a tough loss to Team Canada.

Though Buchnevich has been streaky, and Barbashev had a slow start, both are at a PPG. The real disappointment has been Liiga rep Nikolai Goldobin. The 2014 first rounder has been a ghost while quite a few of his draft counterparts are flexing their skill. Russia needs the former Sting forward to ramp up his play and lessen the pressure on his teammates. A guy with a mixed performance of solid play but lack of results is Vlad Kamenev. Having nearly played 50 KHL games, this brute of a center needs to create more to give Russia a chance. As the majority of Russia's defense has merely 1SOG/GP, it will be tough for them to pitch offensively at those rates. Young Ivan Provorov has the skillset to lead the group, but may be too young to realize his potential this year. Both Sorokin and Shestyorkin have had equal opportunity, but DraftBuzz expects the flashy Shestyorkin to be leaned on from here on out.

Though the spotlight has been on Jack Eichel, with scouts tabbing Hanifin and Matthews in their periphery, Dylan Larkin has been USA's driving force. The Michigan standout has 5G in 4GP with a team high 17SOG and +7. One guy who looked lost in the beginning who is warming up is Sonny Milano. He has rewired his harddrive and has been on the puck harder. Milano could really boost USA's depth by having a little faith in himself and burying the shot when he has it. Poor Will Butcher has no points though his distribution has been stellar. Two other noticeables on D are Noah Hanifin and Ryan Collins. The former could really give USA an edge that they haven't had as his game has been very tame. The latter unfortunately has looked like a warm body with 0 shots generated. Catching a tough break vs. Canada, Demko has been a stabilizing force who is the unquestioned backbone of the team at this point.

Wow gotta love this i cheer for Russia!!!

I hope there will be stream with the TSN commentators when the game start:)

i blame you guys! after i watched a game with the TSN i never wanna have swedish commentators again when they ref a game lol

Man that NYE result was bigger than I realized at first..Canada's path to the gold medal game is pretty damn easy. Even if USA wins they have to face another tough opponent in Swe-Fin. That sucks for them. :) This will be a great game though, very intense. I'll say Russia wins in OT

USA is the better team, but Russia always matches up well with American juniors. Think Russia can pull an upset like last year.
