Lowry reminds me a lot of Capuano.

If something isn't working, just keep doing the same thing.

lol. thought this was going to be a easy tourny for team canada. guess you don't win tournaments on paper after all :dunno:

You're the crazy one if you thought it was going to be an easy win for Canada. There are six very good and very evenly matched teams here. Canada was never any better than their end result.

So many ridiculous penalties.

Perlini's slash.
Strome's penalty.
Virtanen x3
Marner

6 penalties. You think they would have learned after the two Sweden games, but clearly not.

They played a perfect first period and the middle 10 minutes of the second, but once they let this become a shootout, we weren't gonna win.

Blackwood and Virtanen were beyond awful.

Strome really wasn't that good today.

Barzal didn't play enough.
Agreed.

That Aho - Laine - Puljujarvi line dominated. Every shift they were passing and shooting, beating players one on one, outmuscling. L & P are 17? Yikes! Finland not only has a bright 2017 & 2018 tourney ahead of them but the 2016 NHL Draft might see both Finns go in the top-5.

Virtanen and Marner pissed this away for Canada. They should get quite the reaming from their coach and their linemates.

This is true but these are teenagers.

Fin was clearly better team and better elite players. Cheering for them now and would love the Canucks to get 1 of the 3 Finnish studs.

Funny how it's Lowry's two favorite pets that are both in the box for the 5 and 3 at the end of the game. Makes Lowry look like an idiot and and his refusal to pull Blackwood didn't help either. Hopefully he's not around anything related to Team Canada again in the future.

Good luck to Finland, Laine and Puljujarvi are both amazing players.

Really didn't think Canada would medal, uninspiring team. Virtanen showed game-breaking talent, the ability to lose a huge game in the 3rd period single handedly. Why was he taken so high in the draft?

How many times to we have to be screwed by horse crap officiating at a IIHF event before Canada just says ef them and leaves?

What is the IIHF going to do hold their tournaments in front of 200 people with $500 worth of sponsorship money.

Finland did nothing to win this game but wait on the BS officiating they have relied on all tournament long and of course the crappy IIHF refs obliged.

This Canadian team had issues for sure but the garbage calls were the reason they lost today not their play and certainly not the play of a awful Finnish team.

Canada got plenty of favorable calls this game.

Reality is Canada had 1 clean win the whole tournament vs Denmark? lol
Just horrible from top to bottom starting with Lowry.

The loss is on Virtanen, Lowry, and the goaltending. Absolutely awful coaching and goaltending.

Yeah, all of this is wrong.

At the end of the day, Canada lost to the USA, Sweden and Finland and only beat 9th place Switzerland in Ot and Denmark.

You simply didn't have a strong enough team for once! 2017 will be better!

Sedin wasn't playing, but yeah Canada would have lost to him to.

Honestly this loss wasn't on Lowry. Blackwood didn't show up and our undisciplined play killed us. 5 on 5 we outplayed Finland significantly.

Who is in charge of pulling the struggling goalie?

Who is in charge of putting Virtanen out there, shift after shift, despite the dumb penalties?

It definitely is on Lowry because he had full control over fixing the things that hurt Canada the most, but refused to do so.

The reffing was only BS at the start of the game. The penalties in the third were on us.

How does Lowry play Virtanen AFTER HE TOOK 4 MINUTES IN PENALTIES IN THE THIRD PERIOD (not to mention his idiotic penalty earlier in the game)?

Pretty much sums up how terrible of a coach he is
