This is the best WJC match i have ever watched, even topping the 2014 finals when we won Gold over Sweden.

Also...I don't understand Lowry. Why would he not pull Blackwood? He was struggling to make saves...even some routine ones.

Does he not sense the feeling in the dressing room? When someone is struggling in an elimination game you need to act accordingly.

At the end of the day, Canada lost to the USA, Sweden and Finland and only beat 9th place Switzerland in Ot and Denmark.

You simply didn't have a strong enough team for once! 2017 will be better!

Virtanen's 2 penalties cost us the game and then Marner negated a PP that would have been crucial late with an unnecessary punch.

Learn to watch the game without rose coloured glasses.

Canada didn't win, but hopefully Laine and Puljujarvi learned a lesson about keeping comments about their opponents to themselves. They thought this would game be a cakewalk given that this is an extremely weak year for Canada at the WJC. They were mistaken.

We had a 5 on 3, and Virtanen pisses it away.

We give Finland a GWG on a 5 on 3 with a delay of game puck that actually leaves the far end of the ice, after Virtanen takes the 5 on 4 penalty.

That pretty much sums it up right there.

I thought it was only a penalty if you put it over in your zone.

Right up there with 98 and when spott coached. One of worst picked teams and managed bench in canada junior tournys. in my opinion, lowry + virtanen were the biggest reasons for this terrible showing. Embarassing year
