to be quite honest Virtanen doesn't deserve to play a lot going forward. The guy has been an ass clown all tournament.

I'm not saying he deserves to...but you have to be honest with yourself and realize that Lowry will have him out there every second shift.

Virtanen is going to be a controversial player is whole career. Great player who makes too many dumb decisions.

He's a shift by shift guy. One shift, he's great . Next shift it's "what the hell JV?"

I can't recall a player quite like him for that on Team Canada.

Strome is such a baby. The players are playing like a bunch of morons, have some composure and play disciplined like you've been saying since August. Not to mention Blackwood is losing his mind and letting in softies.

It is really too bad that so few are ruining it for so many in this game

For those who can watch the game who are in your opinion the best players for Finland and Canada so far?

Khakonen, Aho and Juolevi for the Finns. Konecny, Hicketts and Strome (minus the penalty)

Underrated player of the game? Roope Hintz. Kid looks like a combination of Jagr and Jesus. He's gotten even better since my scouting report last year

I agree he's looked good, Finns didn't seem too thrilled with him at the beginning of the tournament but I think he's got better every game. Splitting Kapanen away from his line has improved both of their play.

Virtanen, point and Perlini need to do something positive. Virtanen and Perlini have rocks for hands and take untimely and bad penalties. Point hasn't done anything to impress me at all.

20 minutes to prove to the nation why you were selected. Come on boys.

All 3 need to be put on the same line and not leave the bench for the rest of the game

Every time the Stephens line is out there, they create chances...especially Konecny. How about trying something different and play the hell out of them instead of other lines.

Canada deserves to be winning this game. They've played great, bar 5-10 minutes during the second.

No no no, haven't you been paying attention. He's the best d on the team, should be playing half the game, etc.

Seriously though, this is why point watching makes no sense, its all about how you can translate your game to playing against the best in the world. You can take those chances against WHL competition, doesn't really work higher up though.

Of the bigger names on Canada, I do think it's safe to say that nobody is stepping up and playing as well as a top player should play at this level. IE there is a bigger difference between the best and the rest at this level, you should be able to stand out a lot if you are a top NHL prospect.

OTOH, sometimes it can be a bit harder to do that for Canada since it's not easy to get that role were the other players turn to you and support you all the way due to how deep the team is.

Virtanen takes a penalty it costs Canada the game.

it put canada at no disadvantage. they actually still had an advantage. Yet, he is all these idiots can focus on.

Finland changed their goalie and canada can't score? no that can't be it. lack of offense the entire way? nope. poor goaltending? nope. 2 players cancelling out poor penalties taken by one another. That's gotta be it. blame one of the two players cause his team is now losing.

What is strome doing up high on that play. He's the centre and needs to leave that to the wingers... He got in the way and left the play open down low.
